Geoff Stoneback
Meet Geoff Geoff Stoneback is a driver that really embraces the true essence of what drifting means. From the style of his vehicle, to his aggressive driving style, and his charisma on and off the track - Geoff is the drifter’s drifter. Going into his third year of professional competition in the Formula Drift series, Geoff is preparing for war. Preparation began the moment the banners came down at Irwindale in October and won’t stop again until they go up in April at Long Beach. Determination, hard work, and a positive attitude can get you a lot of places in this world - Geoff embraces that way of life to its fullest. Regardless of the day, you’ll find Geoff smiling and working hard to follow his dream of becoming a Formula Drift Champion.
why is Geoff Marketable Geoff Stoneback is a well-branded driver in Formula Drift as the leading grassroots driver, representing unique style and personality. With his down-to-earth attitude and approachability and ease with fans, he is definitely one the crowd undeniably favors. Geoff has been involved in the drifting community since he discovered the sport in 2006 and has developed strong ties to the drift and fan communities in the Mideast and nationwide. Geoff regularly practices at Club Loose, a series based on the East Coast, where he drives with everyone from locals to pros like Chris Forsberg, Vaughn Gittin JR and Ryan Tuerck. He also educates and teaches drifting to new drivers emerging and wanting to learn the sport. Since Geoff worked his way up to compete with the big guns and is heavily favored in the grassroots drift communities nationwide, he is a great marketing asset in the automotive industry. A lot of drift fans come from a love of “extreme” sport. Geoff also grew up riding BMX, on local trails and skate parks, and he still loves to throw a bike in the rig before a trip. He is also an avid snowboarder and as soon as snow falls, you can find him zooming down a mountain, blasting some jumps. When Geoff isn’t inside a race car, you’ll find him in the garage where he dedicates himself to improving his program and driving.

Geoff out of the gate is an impressive driver. Seeing Geoff progress from his early years at the track, to ProAM and now to Formula Drift Pro. He has lovingly earned the nickname “Stone Cold” due to his focus, personality and his debut at Long Beach 2014. Without driving the car at all, he did his first lap in qualifying and making it into Top 32! Geoff has that driving style that fans and the sponsors enjoy

I’m proud to say that I may be the only full time drift photographer in the world. In over a span of 10 years, I have seen many drivers. I know talent when I see it. You can’t teach that stuff Mr. Stoneback has in his bag of tricks. After seeing him drive for the first time in Long Beach 2014, I knew he would become Rookie of the Year. Now he has joined the ranks of Frederic Aasbo, Matt Powers, Odi Bakchis and Daigo Saito. It showed in 2015 when Geoff took out Tanner Foust and Aasbo at FD Atlanta. Geoff is one to watch in 2016!

Ryan Sage Co founder, Formula drift The first time I saw Geoff compete, it was so clear that we were seeing the new face of the sport. His level of skill and style are really impressive and unique. He also carries intangible assets that make a driver marketable. I Can’t wait to see what he does next!

I am excited to say that I am working with one of the best in the industry and two time Formula Drift Champion, Chris Forsberg. I’ve grown up watching Chris drive and we drive a lot together at Club Loose. I’ve seen his program grow in the past couple years and I know that teaming up with Chris, is our recipe for success! This year with a better and more reliable car, one of the best teams in the world and with guidance from Chris, 2016 is going to be my year! - GS
