FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
It starts at developing initial design concepts based on client requirements and project constraints. These are shown on site analysis like physical characteristics, environmental conditions, and zoning regulations that may impact the design.
Along comes the research like moodboards, materials, construction methods where sustainability is integrated with design principles and practices into projects. My favorite part is problem solving because of all the action implied in design challenges and unforeseen issues that may arise during the construction process.
And at the end you end up building no only infraestructure burt also relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry professionals to grow career opportunities. Therefore open and transparent communicaction with people like co workers or clients for me is crucial.

SKILLS
creative flexible enjoy learning goal oriented coordination
When a client is passionate about sunsets, this creates the challenge of designing a house with a west view and a climatically efficient response. This personal project started with the ideaog having the logic use to be an integration with the surrounding nature.
Its long eaves, high roofs, and permeable surfaces
are what respond to natural ventilation and lighting to generate a pleasant sensation on a daily basis. The terrace has the double function of providing a long eaves and making use of the space to fully appreciate the beauty of the sunset. On each space is a feeling of feeling outdoors while being indoors.

International Organization Migration is an organization from the United Nations which seeks to mitigate social and migratory problems in different countries around the world.
Costa Rica is no exception. We created a design in San Marcos Tarrazú in San José Costa Rica. This zone is recognized for its incredible coffee and the markets around it.
The city was in need of designated areas for cultural activities and it was the start of design development for the city.
The park is the heart of the city, but in reality has little to no use whatsoever. The concept therefore is to create areas with specific purpose but also to have flexibility and diversity for activities.
Through sports and cultural activities, we seek to mitigate cohesion in areas with social vulnerability, another milestone project for IOM.
This park is characterized by its intervention in the sports area, going from mental to physical. This is how the initiative is taken to make a design intervention in Parque Corales in Limón. This area is
known by basketball being an attractive physical activity for locals, which is why spaces with a variety of sports are designed for all types of people who want to use them.
Nature is also a main character here, the trees called Ficus are also respected, adding a feeling of freshness to the environment.
C.O is a music school located in Guacimo Limón, Costa Rica. The design arises from the need to create a space for the community. It teaches music to all kinds of people, and it is open to cultural activities. Starting from the field geometry and the dynamic of light vs dark concept, the architectural object opens and closes depending on the permeability of the ac
tivities within.
Sound is the main character therefore its variable is important for each space having a direct interaction with acoustics.
These music school was made with sound analysis with Rhinos Pachyderm, In the same way, the locations microclimate was considered, and it gave an opportunity for a smart choice of materials that could provide thermal comfort as well as excellent acoustics.
This project is a 42-apartment building in the middle of barrio México, San José Costa Rica. Its design has the purpose to attract more people to live in San José, a city which has evolved to a commercial and industrial use in its majority.
The perimeter of the main level gives urban spots with
tropical landscaping and alternate urban furniture. This 8-story building has 6 apartments in each floor and end with a rooftop for exercising and social activities.
The design logic is to have playful volumes in a way the facade moves, so one can see a different visual.
MOTION ARCHITECTURE has the iniative of 3 members, myself, Karina Obando and Adriana Salvador. We seek to generate non-static projects that remain in time through the versality and power of design.
The participation in a NON ARCHITECTURE contest the main goal was to deconstruct the concept of typical stores and create something transformable, fun and modular.
