Daniel Hoan Memorial Bridge Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Spanning Interstate 794 in Milwaukee, the tied-arch Daniel Hoan Memorial Bridge is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. To revitalize the bridge and spark economic and social change, a group of businesses and civic leaders formed the Light the Hoan committee, raising funds for dynamic, colorful, and connected architectural lighting.

The Hoan Bridge’s connected LED lighting system includes more than 1,800 Color Kinetics FlexElite RGBW nodes and nearly 50 Color Kinetics ArchiPoint iColor Powercore luminaires. Using Interact Landmark, the system can be programmed to deliver spectacular light shows, synchronized to music with animated effects. This creates inspiring visual experiences to celebrate the community’s progress.

Interact Landmark Social Impact app (included in the installation) enables site managers to collect feedback on the impact of the Hoan’s lighting installation on social media, in real time. This insight helps encourage public engagement with the bridge lights, improves strategies to boost tourism, and enhances the local economy.

Interact Sports Light control API helps create an innovative app IDB Santa Hortensia Madrid, Spain

Through a connected lighting system and the Interact Sports API, Aluzina Madrid was able to gain valuable insights into customer usage and habits at the Madrid sports facility. The Aluzina Madrid app is oriented towards the public, who can download it via iOS or Android devices. The app enables them to locate a nearby recreational sports center and turn on the lights remotely, allowing them to use the space. It also supports the work of facility and public district managers. The Interact Sports Light control API enables Aluzina Madrid’s app to display data collected by the luminaires. City authorities can then analyze that data and make decisions that will help the city achieve energy savings and provide better facilities to its citizens.
