This book isn’t mine. It is yours or ours, if you like. I followed one simple guideline: starting from my latest works/encounters and looking backwards, I picked out only a couple of pictures from every directory—and from the digital works only. I almost reached the year 2016 and that is why so many of my works are not included—bearing in mind that this research of mine started precisely ten years ago. Nothing personal against the missing ones, that’s just the result of the algorithm I chose. As I was saying, this book isn’t mine, this book is yours. I would like you to write what you want on it. There is space above and beneath each photograph, but you can write on the photos themselves too. What to write? What runs through your mind. It will represent a physical connection among all of us and I will treasure it.

lundesnombreux started photographing outboard motors as a child in Nice, in 1986. He persisted in ruining rolls until the mid-‘90s, then he suspended the activity. In 2005 he resumed, using analogue cameras first and digital cameras after. He has read the grand masters and learned to develop and print photos. He has been working for minor agencies and for private individuals, as well as for firms and with senior photographers as an assistant. Self-taught, l'un des nombreux goes ahead with his research/dependency, both on the art of encounter and on the relationship between man and water. Purely instinctive pursuit. He still photographs outboard motors at times.
