: Boyolali, Central : 2016 (early) : Academic Project : Individual Project

Design of youth centre is a part of Boyolali’s goverment development. the goverment does the development massively in so many aspects and youth is one of them. Youth centre is kind of solution to youths problem around Boyolali City. every single city in Indonesia has a very serious problem in youths. youths both can benefit and threats this nation’s future. so as an architect I think about the place where the youths can express themselves and also do positive activities to increase the quality of human resources.

Site

7

the site is located in Boyolali City in Central Java Province, Indonesia. the site is close to several public building and public space such as the statue of Boyolali City, police office, market, shops, school, and residence. the site chosen because the location is very easily reached by every direction. so peopel will easy to find it.

the building mass is rectangle shaped within its two stories. the rectangle shaped chosen because it can maximize its spaces and rooms. so the function can be efficient used. the function of Boyolali Youth Centre include education space, art space, technology space and art space. outside the building, it's put some trees as vegetations element. so the building will be surrounded by nice air from the trees. And the last but not least, the using of material. the main material used is terracota and glass. terracota has character warming and local. and glass has modern and futuristic character. so the building character is local and modern.

Gerabah (pottery) is an valuable asset thet belongs to Indonesia’s culture. Gerabah has been exist in Indonesia since a long time ago, since pre-history period. so Gerabah is an Indonesia’s treasure. as a treasure this has to be conserved and developed as well. the best way to conserve is to give them a museum and conservation space around around its manufacture area. so that, Gerabah will not be extinct like other culture which has been.

This museum uses local materials, there are stones, terracota, brick. these local materials makes a concept which means this building has a local character. and people around the building (villagers) will easily unite with the building. Not only the local materal which displays local character of the building, but also this building covered by glasseas a facade, glass displays a modern and futuristic style. so this building is humble to the people and environment, and also concerns about future and technology

TREASURE OF YOGYAKARTA

Digging up the future of Yogyakarta

Location : Malioboro, Yogyakarta, Indonesia Year : 2016 (mid) Status : Research, Exhibition of Architecture UGM (Wiswakharman Expo 2016) Work : Group Project (role: concept making, data researcher, conceptual design, presentation speaker)

Treasure of Yogyakarta is a new concept of public space because it's designed underground. it is a future plan and solution for Yogyakarta tourism problem. the main problem is a density in near future. we have to be ready to face the future with its all problem in it. so this design is to solve future problem in year of 2050. Located in along Malioboro Yogyakarta road's pathway where the so many tourists and pedestrian hanging out. this place is always being an assembly point of tourists. in the past, we still could see a lot of bike, andhong, and pedicab. but today people tend to ride a motorcycle or drive a car to get there. so this tourism are is always full of vehicles.

19

20

Yogyakarta city within its Malioboro has experienced the number of tourists increased by year to year. the tourist nowadays at Malioboro are so crowded, and will always increase in the future. meanwhile Malioboro spaces are not even getting any larger. so that it’s needed an expansion to solve the crowded. and also it’s needed more public spaces to accomodate all tourists to make them feel comfortable being a tourist in Yogyakata. ther are two choices of developing the spaces. the first one is to build up vertically, and to build down or digging to underground vertically. because of the regulation, building up to sky is not allowed, so let’s try with underground construction under Malioboro’s pathway. and soon it will be called as Underground Public Space.

PLAYFUL (SMART SPACE)

Function, Attraction, Harmony

Location : West Java "Monumen Perdjoeangan Rakjat" area, Bandung, West Java Indonesia Year : 2014 (mid) Status : Urban Space Competition Project by Catholic Parahyangan University (status:entry) Work : Group Project (role: concept making, 3D modeling, 3D Visualizing)

25

This design is part of architecture competition by Parahyangan University Bandung of creating kind of public space in Bandung. located at north of Monument north of Gasibu Field, this design called a smart space with technology based which can help people to create a better habbit in public space. Ussualy people tend to mess up the existing public space by having bad habbits such as littering anywhere, street vendor without regulation, and etc. by this problem the public space looks very bad. So, not only creating a better habbit of people, but also this design becomes a new attraction (playful space) near of historical and monumental area without loosing its local value.

26

This design transformation comes from the shape of monument, then creating a line path in site to make a ladscape and programmatic spaces. This design will not destruct what monument existing looks like. moreover it complements monument and becomes an new attraction of monuments area the programmatic includes street vendors shelter area, main stage, amphiteater, landscape, office, and service. this programmatic hopefully can solvepublic spaces problem and street vendors problem.

this is a street vendors (main problem of design) area where they use a moveable shelter. shelter can be opened up and closed down, it depends on the weather. this area created because there are too many street vendors at gasibu are so it has to be divided. moreover this area is more organized and smart because supported by technology and landscape pathway

this is a foodcourt area. People come there not only to shoping but also to have vacation and hang out. so this design provides a foodcourt area.

this is an amphiteater. this area both can be used as a performing area and hangout area. it's complemented by beautiful landscape and trees, so people will stay comfortably.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

in Ujungberung Bandung Indonesia with Deconstruction Architecture Approachment

Location :Ujungberung, Bandung, West Java Indonesia Year : 2017 Status : Final Academic Project Work : Individual Project

Nowadays there’s a lot of young man living with youth’s problems. their living stlye and habbit slowly will destroy their future. every nation put a big hope on their shoulders. their problems are drugs, free sex, drink, gangster, etc. these kinds of things are a very serious problem. there are two type of solving this problem, they are curation and prevention. especially in Bandung, Bandung has a lot of young man with their potential. but the problem is they tend to spend their spare time in negative things because there is no supported space for them. in this case, I will propose one of the solutions for young man’s problem in Bandung. the solution is a design of facility and space for the youth to reach their biggest potential. since the youths are the investation for this nation’s future, every single youth should prepare themselves to face the future. the time is now.

31

32

This Youth Development Centre is designed with architecture deconstruction approachment. deconstruction used as an building aestethic. deconstruction has an expressive and unusual character. I put deconstruction on building facade. which can be an attraction of building. this chosen because young man has an expressive character though. this design has two main buildings, two sport fields, plaza, and landscape of course for green area. vertically this building has three level, the first one is semi basement next to ground floor, and top is second floor.
