DETAIL: DAY 1: ARRIVAL SIEM REAP – BAKHENG HILL SUNSET – APSARA DANCE SHOW DINNER (D) Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, you are warmly welcomed by our friendly tour guide and then transfer to hotel for check in & refresh. 04.00 pm: pick up again & visit to Bakheng Temple and enjoy a spectacular sunset view from Bakheng Hills. Tonight enjoy our welcome dinner with Apsara Dance Show. Accommodation at hotel.
DAY 2: SIEM REAP ANGKOR TOUR – TA PROHM – BANTEAY KDEI – SRAH SRONG – ANGKOR THOM – ANGKOR WAT (B/L) After enjoying your breakfast at hotel, this morning start your visit to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece, as well as, some of the surrounding temples including BanteayKdei, Ta Keo, Thommanonand Chau Say Tevado, Srah Srong. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, out to visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. Continue visit to the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54
towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue visiting the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Accommodation at hotel.
DAY 3: SIEM REAP – BATTAMBANG – EK PHNOM TEMPLE (B/L) (Driving distance: 175km = 3 hours) Breakfast at hotel We departure to Battambang, the second largest city and the biggest rice producer in Cambodia. Upon arrival, check in at hotel for refreshment and transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit the archeological provincial museum before departure to visit Ek Phnom temple in the 11st century and the colonial style houses along the Sangke River. On the way back, you can visit the traditional Cambodian houses and the artisan factory of rice flaky cake. Overnight at hotel in Batambang. DAY 4: BATTAMBANG – COOKING CLASS - TOURS – BAMBOO TRAIN (B/L) Morning, join Nary’s Cambodian Food cooking class. Class started from 9h00 to 12h00. The lesson by Mrs. Nary will start with a guided trip to the local market; you will learn 4 courses meal including a dessert. Participants will also receive a recipe leaflet with all the instructions necessary to reproduce their dishes at home. And of course you get to eat what you've cooked for lunch. Evening try out for a ride on the Bamboo Train, a fun experience and also a great opportunity to see the sunset view at countryside. It’s like a childhood dream come true. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 5: BATTAMBANG – PHNOM PENH (B/L) (Driving distance: 291km = 6 hours) After breakfast at hotel, overland transfer back to Phnom Penh. On the way stop by at pottery village at Kampong Chnang to admire hard work of local family who pottery by manual for a living. Lunch at local restaurant.
Continue the road to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival check in hotel and overnight in Phnom Penh. DAY 6: PHNOM PENH – ROYAL PALACE – NATIONAL MUSEUM – CENTRAL MARKET – WAT PHNOM (B/L) Breakfast at hotel, today start your first stop by visiting the Royal Palace built in 1866 and the Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound. The Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. Continue to the National Museum, dedicated exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period (9th to 15th century), but some date from as early as the 4thcentury. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Central Market (Psar Thmei), a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. The four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are teeming with stalls that sell goods ranging from gold and silver, antique coins, money exchange, books, flowers, food, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood and countless other products. Last stop for today, visit to Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda on a hill, which marks the legendary founding place of the city. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
DAY 7: PHNOM PENH – SIHANOUK VILLE (BEACH) (B) After breakfast at hotel, you will be transfer to Sihanouk Ville on private car (no tour guide or upon request). This is the smoothest road of Cambodia built by the USA. It will take about 4.5 hours to reach destination. Upon arrival Sihanouk Ville, check in your hotel and free for the remained of the day.
DAY 8: SIHANOUK VILLE (FREE AT OWN SEA ACTIVITY) – (B) DAY 9: SIHANOUK VILLE (FREE AT OWN SEA ACTIVITY) – (B) DAY 10: SIHANOUK VILLE – PHNOM PENH – DEPARTURE (B) After early breakfast, we leave the Sihanouk Ville by 7:00am for a transfer on private car to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival Phnom Penh, transfer directly to Phnom Penh Airport for your departure flight.
