This years Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach, was the third annual Florida iteration of the esteemed Show House in New York City, benefitting both Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. Featured 19 of the nation’s most prominent design firms, the Show House — is owned by famed interior designer himself Lars Bolander. “The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach has become a highly anticipated event since first opening its doors in 2017 and we were thrilled to return for a third year,” said James Druckman, President and CEO of the New York Design Center, and President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “This year’s incredible talent is comprised of local, national, and international designers, and we are so grateful for their support in raising critical programming funds for the 17,000 children served by both organizations.” In just under three months, the group of talented designers completely transformed each room of the remarkable 8,751-square-foot home inspired by South African and Dutch architecture. Affectionately dubbed Bamboo Hill, the main home, located at 260 Palmetto Lane in West Palm Beach’s South End neighborhood, features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a great room with vaulted ceilings and french doors that open up to an expansive loggia, and a spacious kitchen with an adjacent outdoor dining terrace. The home’s large master suite offers sprawling garden and pool views. The estate also boasts two guest houses, a pool house, and an expansive private garden with lush tropical flora for the ultimate outdoor living and entertaining experience.

Design enthusiasts and novices alike were inspired by the level of creativity and imagination on display through unexpected wall treatments, beautiful furnishings and an array of bold colors.

ALESSANDRA BRANCA MASTER BEDROOM

Comfortable, chic living is Alessandra Branca’s signature approach to design and the New York-based designer of Branca, Inc. did just that with the Master Bedroom. Inspired by one of her favorite countries, Portugal, the bedroom touts blue-and-white wallpaper resembling Portuguese tile, a vintage bed, and pieces from her namesake furniture line, Casa Branca. On the terrace, floor-toceiling custom window treatments by The Shade Store make way for sweeping views of the garden and pool.

SARAH BLANK KITCHEN

Inspired by classical architecture, Connecticut-based Sarah Blank of Sarah Blank Design Studio created a timeless kitchen that offers a relaxing and refreshing gathering place for all. The space is anchored by a Thermador range and features KOHLER’s Poise Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink, beautiful Dekton by Cosentino countertops, a wine cellar, and a large island that blends style with function. The light blue custom millwork and Fabricut wallcoverings add dimension to the kitchen, while artwork depicting birds and coral pays homage to the home’s South Florida location.

sociate’s “Tropical Study.” China Seas “Nairobi” wallpaper by Quadrille in a custom colorway covers the walls with whimsy. Wood blinds by The Shade Store , decorative Asian elements, Chinese porcelain, and a collection of books fill the space, showcasing the dwelling of an eccentric, yet sophisticated seasoned traveler.

JAVIER FERNANDEZ HALLWAY

The vestibule, hallway and powder room feature the contemporary transitional style of the Boca Raton-based designer Javier Fernandez of Transitional Designs, Inc. Titled “Design with Bite,” the three spaces are united with framed wall panels in a dark wood trim with three-dimensional suede inserts. Infused with both vin

tage and modern style, a light grey pony hair console table is nestled in the vestibule below contemporary art pieces, while “pouf” ottomans line the hallway.

SUZANNE KASLER GREAT ROOM

“Edited Style” was designed at the hands of Atlanta-based Suzanne Kasler of Suzanne Kasler Interiors. Built on a quintessential Palm Beach color palette of pink and white and featuring rattan, linen, and natural materials, the Great Room boasts stunning views of the outdoor logia, garden, and swimming pool. High-gloss, builtin bookcases in Benjamin Moore’s Custis Salmon stretch across an entire wall, housing a number of books and white sculptural pieces, while a stunning wallcovering sets the scene for a stylish living room with edited details and timeless sensibility.

BRIAN AND ALEXANDRA BRADY FOYER

Brian and Alexandra Brady of Southhampton-based Brady Design made their father-daughter debut with a classically inspired foyer. Upon entering the home, a whimsical scene of palm trees framed by pilasters bridges the transition between indoor and outdoor, and a selection of antiques and custom design elements fill the space.

SHERRILL CANET LOGGIA

A crisp palette of black, white, and jewel tones reigns supreme on the shaded terrace designed by New York-based Sherrill Canet of Sherrill Canet Interiors . Embracing its role as the heart of the plantation-style home, the Loggia blends modern touches with antique pieces for a tailored look, inspiring good conversation and glamorous, comfortable outdoor living.

MARIO NIEVERA AND KEITH WILLIAMS GARDEN

The home’s garden was transformed by Mario Nievera & Keith Williams of Palm Beach-based Nievera Williams Design . Drawing inspiration from the gardens of the Taj Mahal, “The Mughal Garden” features bold patterns and bright colors that expose the glory of outdoor living in South Florida. A Mughal design utilizing sod and gravel surrounds the pool, offering a strong visual element to the landscape design. Purple and pink bougainvillea bring a pop of color among the greenery of the native plants, while various sitting areas welcome guests to relax in tranquility.

JONATHAN SAVAGE POOL PAVILION

Inspiration for the “Cabana Hideaway” by Jonathan Savage of Savage Interior Design was derived from the Nashville-based designer’s lifetime of travel to the French West Indies. The relaxed and livable outdoor escape is filled with fine finishes from Indonesian teaks, luxurious woven fabrics and heirloom quality furnishings and accessories. Nantucket and Palm Beach fine art photographer, Nathan Coe’s print, alongside The Shade Store’s custom drapery is the perfect backdrop to the lush upholstered Sutherland Furniture daybed. The pair of custom designed teak louvered dividers flanking the space contrast with crisp white painted walls to create the ultimate luxurious respite.

For the past forty-seven years, celebrated interior designers transform a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology. For a third year, the highly esteemed design event headed south, enlisting some of the nation’s most talented interior designers to transform a home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Proceeds from the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach were to benefit Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
