GOLF DESTINATIONS

ooking for the ultimate boys weekend as you prep for the final run before your wedding? Why not include a tee time while you're at it? Your bachelor party doesn't need to be just an evening. In fact, many of the best are weekend long activities. By selecting the perfect golf destination you're able to squeeze in an extra round (or two) while also having a blast in the local city as well. While there are all kinds of destinations to choose from around the country, here are our absolute favorite locals throughout the Carolinas.

PINEHURST RESORT

If you want to make it through all seven of the open courses at Pinehurt, you'll need to book more than a few days (there are nine total courses at the resort). The different courses have been used by professionals, and the No. 2 course served as the site for the 2014 U.S. Open. A new course was recently renovated and updated within the last few years, as well. And even if you want to take a break from golf and just sit back and relax in the sun as you watch the sun set from the clubhouse porch, you're more than welcome to do that as well. After all, this is your bachelor party weekend.

Tucked away in North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, this is one of the true golfing gems in the state. You can truly spend your entire weekend on the greens of this spectacular destination, or you can head on out to the beach and other activities after getting in a round. Plus, the yacht club is part of the golf resort as well, so you can charter a boat out onto the water. If that doesn’t sound like the ultimate bachelor party destination, we’re not sure what does.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND

There are a number of public golf courses throughout greater Hilton Head. This is perfect for when you don’t want to just play the same course over the weekend but instead would like to play a number of courses. Hilton Head makes it easy on you for this (Sea Pines Resort is one of the beautiful resort offerings in the city). Plus, if you want to travel south to Savannah for a brief visit you can do that as well. After all, if you’re flying in you’ll be landing in the same Hilton Head/Savannah airport. Whatever you decide to do, keep Hilton Head in mind, as it is a city essentially built for outdoor golf lovers such as yourself.

KIAWAH ISLAND GOLF RESORT

Located on the island itself in South Carolina, you can book individual rooms for your buddies, or you can go big and grab one of the villas on the course. This is a truly beautiful destination as you can watch the sun rise on the golf course, not to mention the ocean is just over the ridge, which you can see from the course. The resort itself is made up of five different courses, so you can select the course that is right for you, your friends, and your style of play. With so many courses, you’ll never have to leave the resort.

PINE NEEDLES LODGE AND GOLF COURSE

When looking to book the perfect bachelor party golf weekend is there a better combination of words than “lodge” and “golf course”? Probably not. Pine Needles has been open for a century and has been the backdrop for a number of events, including the U.S. Senior Women’s Open, as well as the U.S. Women’s Open three different times. When you step foot on the resort you’ll instantly understand what sets this course apart.

THERE’S PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU

With so many fantastic golfing opportunities spread throughout the Carolinas (and even dipping into Savannah), there is a perfect spot for you. Whether you want to spend the entire weekend on the course or you’d like to mix in some city activities and events, there are plenty of opportunities for you to build the ultimate bachelor party weekend. And when you want it to include golf, you can’t go wrong with any of these five golf destinations.
