SMELL A latest prized collaboration is the limited edition Ex Nihilio x Yasmin Al Mulla perfume. Curated by Emirati entrepreneur Yasmin Al Mulla, the fragrance was created by taking inspiration from traditional houses to skyscrapers, from antique to modernity, the beautiful Dubai. Carrying notes of Italian bergamot, lychee, peony & musk, the packaging is absolutely sublime, right from the golden cap with a Burj Khalifa silhouette engraved in mother of pearl, to the wooden background on the bottle that represents all seven emirates.

SAVOUR If you’re a chocolate lover, then step no further than Mirzam. This chocolate factory located in Al Quoz produces the most sublime of chocolates. A must-have is the bars from their Emirati collection, which involves a delectable & indulgent selection of Rgag - a 52% milk chocolate filled with pieces of crispy Arabic ‘Rgag’ bread, Khabeesa - a 62% dark chocolate with finely chopped dates, cardamom & cinnamon together with house baked and crumbled biscuits, Aseeda - white chocolate, toasted until it’s deep brown to create a caramelised flavour and then spiced with cardamom, Halwa - a 62% dark chocolate with pieces of crunchy saffron and rose infused caramel brittle, filled with almonds, pistachios and dates, and Loqaimat - a 45% milk chocolate filled with tiny puffed quinoa, which have been caramelised in UAE produced date syrup.

INDULGE Dubai is no stranger when it comes to exclusive spa treatments, but the Away Spa located at the newly opened W Palm Jumeirah offers a truly unique atmosphere to unwind. An eclectic space, very much like the rest of the W hotels, the spa emulates the playful vibe of the hotel to present a non-traditional spa destination. The spa features a central light feature in the shape of a water drop that hovers over the spa’s mix and mingle space and features a ‘Beauty Bar’. The spa’s pearl-inspired interior reportedly echoes the pearl diving history of Dubai while the dark mosaic tiles emulate the jewel tones seen by divers under the ocean. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

Iyashi Dome experience, which allows you to burn up to 600 calories every session of 30-60 minutes. It’s inspired by a Japanese tradition called ‘Suna Ryoho’, where the locals bury themselves in the sand near hot springs on the beach to eliminate toxins. There’s also The Psammo Concept Quartz Bed which focuses on hot sand therapy.

If you’re looking for something with a local flair, head over to the Mandarin Oriental, Jumeirah for their Royal Saffron treatment, complete with blends of exotic 24k gold, saffron and mogra sourced directly from artisan growers and distillers. These ingredients not only assist with cellular regeneration, pigmentation and rejuvenation, but also work towards hormonal balance and emotional equilibrium.
