MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION FOR A GLOBAL BANK
Challenge Our client, a major Investment Bank that provides financial services (including investment banking, advisory, sales & trading, and prime brokerage) to institutional clients, required an enhanced platform for client and product master data for its sales and trading organization. This client’s “Equities security Master” project supported fast-growing requirements for delivery of cash equities, futures, and options market data to the client’s research and trading organizations. Their “Partner Data” program was initiated to manage growing requirements for Bank Secrecy and USA Patriot Act counterparty “know your client” and standing delivery instructions.
Solution Luxoft worked with the investment bank to achieve its desired results by following a phased approach: Phase I We collected technical and functional requirements from global business and technology units Phase II Develop an authoritative document that describes all of the front- and middleoffice requirements Phase III Develop a synthesized data model suited for the specific requirements of the business models for both instrument and counterparty data. In an ongoing effort, Luxoft developed an Oracle database as well as Informatica and PL/SQL mappings that include related systems and environmental components.
