Business Challenge In a series of mergers and acquisitions, the bank had become the owner of two different bank card systems based in two countries, Hungary and Slovakia. These external systems had to be integrated and synchronized with the bank’s existing card services applications. The high-level requirements for this complicated integration were: uu Synchronize balances between the parent bank and the subsidiaries uu Audit synchronization processing for system management and historical reporting uu Service bus architecture must be designed to work during scheduled downtimes in the bank’s core systems uu Provide enterprise-level reporting for card accounts from parent and subsidiaries
