lients requested a London meets Hollywood design concept: glamorous and sophisticated. There was much work to be done to strip the home of Mediterranean embellishments. To begin the ceilings and millwork were redesigned to reflect a simpler architectural quality. The bar area was built of gray lacquer wood cabinetry with a gray oak top and charcoal panels. The rich blue velvet accents the soft neutrals throughout. Shaded lamps illuminate the bar-top adding warmth and intimacy.
The palate changed from golds and browns to white and silver grey. Sparkling finishes of nickel, crystal, alabaster and brass provide a reflective quality to the entire space. The traditional coffered ceiling was replaced by an intricate series of concentric rectangles forming an interesting pattern.
