luxury Villa Kampung at Trans Resort Bali remains a luxury as it has a 350 square metres in wide which is considered as the most spacious villa in Seminyak, and each villa comes with a private swimming pool. The entrance of the villa is a gate that uses the old wood.
From the entrance, guests will not think that the Trans Resort Bali is a resort. The main gate is shaped in a Kulkul building, a Balinese tower that normally found in the villages to indicate a warning or a marker of an important event. But the top of the tower has been modified with beautiful lights that light up at night. Not far from the main gate, there is a wantilan which is a traditional building that used by the Balinese folks as a meeting hall for several activities. However the wantilan in the Trans Resort Bali serves as a private meeting room private. The wantilan concept is still left as the original traditional building, with no change in the roof, which is layered or tiered upwards. Taking a little excursion into the lobby, there are two large Balinese paintings hanging on the walls. Those paintings are specially made by Nyoman Gunarsa, a Balinese artists that are well known around the globe. Gunarsa’s painting depicts the culture of Bali, Barong dance and traditional dancers. If the guests tries to look up to the top, there is a large chandelier in the form of a lotus flower. For the people of Bali, the flower has a special value that symbolizes knowledge and spiritual. Absolutely, it is not just the lotus-shaped lights are dazzling, but every corner in the Trans Resort Bali is full of lotus flower pattern, ranging from the walls, ceiling, door handles until the floor is decorated with lotus ornament. The design was intended that the guests will understand the feature of lotus flower as one of the original features of Bali. In addition to the five categories of hotel rooms, Trans Resort Bali also offers 16 villas, called “Kampung which literally does mean village. The villa is a typical form of Balinese traditional houses using thatched roofs. Nevertheless,

Villa Kampung itself is divided into two categories comprising One Bedroom Villa and Three Bedroom Presidential Villa. Explore Broadly speaking about exploring such a big city can be considered as a big pain in the brain. Packing the most terminuses feasible into the travel journey entails a lot of mass transportations from point to point. All of that public conveyance usage can add up hastily if the travellers are not cautious, but there are a small number of possibilities to take into account when obtaining the tickets in Nagoya that can help to save the expenses down. If the travellers expect to be using public transportation several times in one day for the duration of the stay in Nagoya, or if just do not want to face the disturbance of discovering the precise change in an off-beat currency every time embarks a train or bus, it possibly will paid off to purchase a one-day pass. The Nagoya Transportation Bureau provides three kinds of all-you-can-ride one day permits comprising a bus only option, a train only option, and a combination permit. The bus permits are only authorized on city buses, containing exploration directions, and are not acknowledged on personal routes. The Eco Ticket (donichi eko kippu) is just as finer choice for weekend travellers taking in the sights. It is made to keep the weekend and holiday traffic levels low in Nagoya, the ticket is idyllic for foreign tourists who would not be driving anyway. It allows them infinite one-day use of city buses
and the subway. It also gets the travellers deep discounts and free items at partaking Nagoya shops, restaurants and cultural institutions. Riding the subway for 25 minutes is needed when about heading to the Toyota Auto Museum. If the travellers adore cars even though it is a little out of the way, it is well worth it. The exhibition comprised numerous old American, European, and Japanese vehicles. There is even an auto reading room, which covers eleven thousand books and associated magazines. This is a car enthusiasts’ bliss and the museum is capacious and well set alight. Journey Jakarta cannot be completely juxtaposed with Bangkok, from the crowds that suddenly appeared, frenzy motorcycle, crane constructions which are scattered everywhere, schools yields that celebrate the end of the day, a dizzying swirl in the middle of a crowded street with a view of the concrete jungle surrounding. For people who restrict themselves to enjoy buildings which comparably phallic such as Monas –National Monumentthat came with a very large size, will think that it does not have the same grandeur of each landmark as Bangkok’s looming symbols such as Wat Arun, The Giant Swing, The Golden Mountain, or even the Grand Palace, and so as with the Istiqlal Mosque, the national mosque of Indonesia. The same thing can be said when comparing the old city of Jakarta, Batavia, with Rattanakosin Bangkok. Batavia is home to several Dutch colonial buildings, but often forgotten when relishing the context of the ancient centre. R att an a ko s i n is a complex of temples, palaces, and ancient roads that easily raise the value of one of the great civilizations in human history. Khao San Road Bangkok not spared from further efforts to glorify it further than Jalan Jaksa Jakarta which are not wider or very long with kinds of restaurants and shops but will never look as busy and dynamic as in Khao San Road’s life. Or to the matters of mass transportation such as TransJakarta Busway –which is considered the most rapid and convenient as it has privileged access that separated from congestion in the public roads- that considered never as interesting as the most crowded time of the BTS SkyTrain at rush hour peak. Most of the Jakarta city is not built purely by native civilizations in Indonesia. In contrast, this old city is a legacy of the Dutch colonial era that has existed for hundreds of years earlier; buildings, transportation systems, canals, ports and others. The Indonesian style and cultural traits
are not appearing in the midst of modern buildings or the bustle of the streets that can be jammed at any time. What already exists in every corner of the city is left as usual, like a memoir of this nation of what was raised them in the past. Indeed, Monas does not look like a magnificent unique-patterned ancient building in Bangkok that was built in ancient times, but the monument along with its torch design store the philosophical value much more complex than the taste of the gorgeous architectural design, instead, there is remarkable spirit strength to illuminate the future of this nation out of the occupation of foreign nations that for centuries have been gripped their claws in the region known as the archipelago. Bangkok has never experienced colonialism, and its every landmark is a representation of their original civilization from antiquity to modern. Jakarta with its Batavia as little Netherland, is always trying to keep the memories of its past that remain s t a n d i n g g r a c e f u l l y. C h ar a c t e r i s t i c of Indonesian civilization is not stated in the art of architecture in its large cities, but it is attached to each person who is known as the friendliest people throughout the world. Jakarta does look like Durian fruit philosophy, its rough skin full of thorns that harm and it will remain same as unsafe daily life in a big city anywhere in the part of the world, yet the soft belly of the Durian will always be there for people who want to look for deeper. Loving Jakarta is not as easy to compare with what Bangkok have, and seeing the bad side of this great city has never been more difficult than finding reasons why people love Jakarta. However, a journey to this two largest mega city in Southeast Asia is not been the same for comparison with each other as each having its own value to be enjoyed.

A Chinese
Magnum Opus Many people tend to think that the Great Wall of China is a product of the war which serves for the defence so its role most closely related to fighting and bloodshed. However, the Great Wall of China more at peace than war as it more related to culture, foreign policy, and economy. Philosophically, it spoke about the growth of a mixture of two lands of peace and war. The wall stands for a number of strength, in spite of all those bitter conditions in China’s ancient time, and it is known as the Great Wall of Spirit among the Chinese. In addition to culture, policy, and economics, the other essential parts that cannot be separated from the Great Wall of China is the history of China itself. This wall was founded more than two thousand years ago and the building represents a major part of China’s history which has great influence on their modern days. The Great Wall of China is a stone and soil structured fort, it was rebuilt and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern border of the Chinese empire during the reign of successive dynasties. At its peak, the Ming Wall was guarded by more than one million troops. It is estimated that somewhere in the range of two to three million Chinese died as part of a project of building the wall for several centuries.
Not the structure or method of execution that makes this building is phenomenal. Something unique stored behind this thousands years old Great Wall of China, more than just a philosophy of defence building.
There are four main walls which are the part of the Great Wall of China, comprising in 208 BC during the Qin Dynasty, 100 BC during the Han Dynasty, from 1130 to 1198 during a period of five dynasties and ten kingdoms, and from 1368 to 1620 from Hongwu Empire to Wanli Empire during the Ming Dynasty. The beginning phase of making the Great Wall of China was started during the period of the Chinese War (500-221 BC). The period before the founding emperor Chin (Qin Dynasty, 221 to 206 BC), was a time of upheaval and discord, an era LUXURY JOURNEY MAGAZINE

that makes people cannot live long and comfortable. As the war came and went, people can come from anywhere, spreading rumours and burn war on and on. The builder of the Great Wall of China is a great civilization, before the nation itself united by Chin. Last trade route that created was between Europe, Asia Minor and Trans-Asia. They have been civilized, they had understood art and culture, but cannot understand how to defend themselves from attack initiation and incoming foreign Impostor. Before the wall was constructed, the national awareness has not been established yet, but there is togetherness as fellow Han. It is a common thing when there is a community that considering their own culture a little nobler, as having a settled culture tends to be more defensive against what they categorize as a foreign element. Though this is just a wall, it is a barrier that was built after China successfully unified together, and that is the reason for why the Great Wall of China was built: to hold and selecting the foreign incursions, plus the invasion of barbaric and uncivilized foreign threats which is not merely a Mongols. Latter was known that the Mongols simply one of many tribes who inhabit Central Asia to the north. Instead of it, there are Merkit, Karakhitai, Avars, Viking, Nomad, Steppe,

and many other tribes including the bloodthirsty Huns. Even though The Great Wall of China is stretching across the region from north to south, the tribes in south seem less expansive as the northern tribes that were nomadic, because the southern soil is more fertile and the tribes have settled their own culture. The Great Wall of China is not a magnum opus that intended to be admired by the tourists in the future. It is not made for just sightseeing spot while eating dim sum in the court and listening to the heroic story of the past as told by the guide. Also not be competed in the world championships, the magic of archaic, or even the new seven wonders. Lose or win, sites like the Great Wall of China truly did not need it and it is relatively not being destroyed because of age. In fact humans cannot always provide commensurate grandeur of the building which is thousands of years old. Indeed, because the Great Wall of China was built with a definite purpose, as its construction is more magnificent than making Chinese imperial palace. A true philosophical nationality.

Back in the era of colonialism, old Philippines is one of the Spanish colonies whom expand to the regions in the Pacific. The well-known spirit of colonialism was always based on the concept of 3G namely Gold for the benefit of trade, Gospel for the benefit of the spread of Christianity, and Glory for the sake of imperial glory through the expansion of boundaries. The primary mission of the Spanish was spreading the influence of the Catholic religion in the Philippines, therefore, in the colonial era in the Philippines there were many church buildings as the place for worship that is needed to bring the parishioners together. One of the famous churches in the Philippines is San Agustin Church that located in Intramuros, Manila. San Agustin Church was rebuilt three times since its first built because of damage caused either by man-made as well as natural disasters. This church has become the oldest church

in the Philippines and in 1993, UNESCO awarded the World Heritage Site to the San Agustin Church, seventeen years after the Philippines government recognized it as one of the historical landmarks. Named San Agustin because this church under the protection of the Augustinian Order. In the past, the church building was only made of bamboo structure that built by the friars. San Agustin Church construction began in 1571 and was officially named Inglesia de San Pablo. Three years after the construction of the San Agustin Church started, Limahong the Chinese pirate began to invade Manila. The invasion led to the annihilation of the city and San Agustin Church was not exempt from it. One year later, the church began to be rebuilt using ligneous materials.

The Japanese army used the church as a concentration camp for prisoners during the Second World War in which hundreds of inhabitant and a number of priests detained in it. Air strikes launched by the US and the Philippines in Intramuros area to finish off the remaining Japanese soldiers, and the bombardment devastated all the buildings in Walled City except San Agustin Church building which were still standing though the war has ended.
With several of considerations not to perform the same mistakes in the past, the Augustinian friars decided to rebuild the church by using the dried brick stone. Twelve years later, they appointed the architect Juan Macias to lead the reconstruction of the church with a new design and it took as long as 21 years to complete. With a more modern design, the San Agustin Church construction ever survived the strongest earthquake in Manila in 16th to 17th century and only suffered damage to one of the bells which then removed permanently at a later date. This church had been a history witness of a wide range of important incidents in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial period. When the Seven Years War took place in 1762, the British forces pillaged this church and a century later, it became a place for the American and Spaniard to deliberate and sign the capitulation of Manila to the Americans.
After the end of the war, the church became a place for the holding the first Philippines Plenary Council first, and for its contributions to the nation, the church is then conserved by the National Centre for Culture and the Arts under the Republic Act which was passed in 2009. In addition to the San Agustin Church which is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, also there are other churches that are classified as a Baroque Churches of the Philippines including the Nuestra Seùora de la Asuncion in Ilocus Sur, the San Agustin Church in Ilocos Norte and the Santo Tomas de Villanueva church in Iloilo. In modern times, the Church of San Agustin remains part of the charming Walled City of Intramuros. The first Governor General Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and some Spanish conquistadors such as Juan de Salcedo and Martin de Goiti were interred in this churchyard. The design is kept as usual to maintain the value of its history, and its interior is studded with intricate trompe l’oeil friezes. The church is also touted as a museum for the collection of art objects from the era of Spanish colony includes artefacts, furniture, paintings, sculptures and other church adornments. Because of its exquisiteness and recognition as one of the best signatures in Manila, the San Agustin Church is often used as the main reference for a wedding and well-known as The Wedding Capital of the Philippines.

How’s the Taste Oxtail soup can certainly be called as one of the most popular Indonesian dishes. Processed oxtail soup in a savoury sauce and fresh is so easy to pampering the tongue for most people though in this country there are a variety of tastes because of the rich cultural background. Each area can also give a touch of different taste from oxtail soup base recipe. Garlic, pepper, and nutmeg are usually the basic ingredients of oxtail soup, and sometimes eucalyptus and clove are added. In the already seasoned broth, vegetables were added, such as tomatoes, carrots, and celery. When the oxtail soup is ready to be served, fried onion slices sprinkled on it, making the tongue like stinged by savoury flavour. Although the types of ingredients and seasonings are essentially the same, it does not mean oxtail soups have the taste. The phrase “different hands, different taste” really applies in this restaurant. As one of the most important buildings in the Dutch colonial era which has a typical European-style architecture, the historical values contained in Lawang Sewu are not less interesting than the myth of the haunted house.
Located on the east side of the Tugu Muda Semarang, on a corner of Jalan Panandaran and Jalan Pemuda, the Lawang Sewu building cannot be separated from the history of railways in Indonesia. Formerly, it was built as Het Hoofdkantoor Van de Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg Maatscappij, the headquarters of NIS, a private railway company in the reign of the Dutch East Indies which were the first to build a railway line connecting Semarang with Vorstenlanden –Surakarta and Yogyakarta- with its first track Semarang Temanggung 1867 Line. The development of NIS headquarter in Semarang is typically 2 decades earlier in 20th century when it was introduced ethical politics at the moment where there was a larger needs to erect public buildings and residential buildings, due to the expansion of the colony, colonial administrative decentralization and growth of private enterprises. NIS received concessions from the colonial government to connect the fertile agricultural areas in Central Java with Semarang Port. The train station in Semarang that located in Tambaksari is not far from the port. At the turn of the 20th century, NIS built a large new station. In 1914, the Tambaksari Station replaced by Tawang Station. Originally, the NIS administration was held in Semarang Station. As the rapid network growth followed by increased demand of workspace so it was decided to build administrative offices at the new location. The choice fell on the land in the suburbs near the residence of the Resident of the Dutch East Indies, at the southern end of Bodjongweg Semarang. The Directors of NIS submitted the building plans to Prof. Jacob F. Klinkhamer and B. J. Ouendag, architects of the Amsterdam Netherlands. Implementation of construction began on February 27, 1904 and was completed in 1907. The soil conditions should have improved the way in advance with the excavation of 4 metres in depth and replaced with a layer of volcanic. The first building done was a

guard house and printing building, and then followed by the main building. Having used for a few years, the expansion of the office held by creating an additional building in 1916-1918. The new headquarter of NIS is a great L-shaped three storey building. The people of Semarang gave it the name Lawang Sewu –literally means thousand doors- referring to its numerous window that shaped looks like a door. Reason behind the design is the architects attempted to build a modern office building in accordance with the tropical climate of Semarang. All building materials imported from Europe except the brick, natural stone and teak. In the era of Japanese occupation in Indonesia, Angkatan Muda Kereta Api – AMKA, trying to take over the train, the war broke out between youth and Japanese soldiers, dozens of youths killed in this building and five of them were buried in the yard, but in 1975 their bodies were moved to the Taman Makam Pahlawan, a hero’s cemetery. Right in the front of Lawang Sewu, there is a monument built to commemorate those who died in Five Days War. Shortly after the independence, Lawang Sewu was being used as the office of Perusahaan Kereta Api, an Indonesian railroad state-owned company, and then the military took over the building, but has now returned to the hands of PT KAI. The main building Lawang Sewu form of a three storey building with two wings extending to the right and left parts. When visitors enter the main building, they will find a large staircase to the second floor. Among the stairs there is a large glass shows a picture of two young Dutch women which is made of glass. With all the exoticism and magnificence, Lawang Sewu often used as a venue for pre wedding photo shoot in this modern day. After a long time unkempt, the restoration of Lawang Sewu finally done even though it took a long time and has just fully completed by the end of June 2011 then re-opened to the public after the date of July 5, 2011. The re-opening was inaugurated by First Lady Ani Bambang Yudhoyono and continued with events Pameran Kriya Unggulan Nusantara, a craft exhibition which is featuring traditional products from all over the archipelago.

Starting from the construction of Ambarawa Station by King Willem I, which the inauguration conducted on May 21, 1873, it is a series of railway development in line with the opening of the railway line from Semarang-KedungjatiAmbarawa-Secang-Yogyakarta. That is why when the travellers visit the museum, they will find an old station building situation which has been renovated, in the form of Dutch heritage station platform, complete with locomotives from the very ancient to the modern. The train itself is now used as a tourist train. It is equipped by iron serrations that made it ease to climb up to a certain slope, and is one of the three steam trains extant in the world, beside in India and Switzerland. Clouds of smoke from an old steam locomotive combined with the shrill sound of the horn plus the wheels’ sound when climbing at an altitude of 60 miles, and the sound of gears that creaked-beeping, will bring deep pleasure for its passengers. There is no air-conditioning facility in the carriage, only the windows that actually open which overlooks rice fields and with the background of Rawa Pening, Mount Merbabu and Mount Ungaran. Laws in Singapore That Every Traveller Should Know
Do not look strange in the metro.
You are not allowed to drink, eat or take a photo for your blog on the metro (MRT). You cannot even take a sip of water.
Flush or face the consequences. Failure to flush a public toilet after use may result in rather hefty fines. And do not even think of urinating in elevators. They are equipped with Urine Detection Devices (UDD) that detect the scent of urine, sets off an alarm and closes the doors until the police arrive.
Singapore is known for its low crime rate and impeccable cleanliness. It is also sometimes called the fine city, which has a double meaning. The label refers to the fine state that Singapore is in, but it also refers to the many fines that the country hands out. Here is a brief guide to some of the laws you need to know when you visit Singapore.
No cuddling in public. Smooching in public is an absolute no-no and you may be punished hard. Handshakes, hugs and light kisses are fine, but save the French kissing for later.
Cigarettes are illegal in public places. There is a law against smoking in public places. This law was put in place to ensure a clean and healthy environment for the public and protect people from second-hand smoke. Although it is not illegal to buy cigarettes or smoke in your own home, it is illegal to smoke in public and it is considered an offense to enter the country with cigarettes.
Do not be a litterbug. First time offenders who throw small items like cigarette butts or candy wrappers are fined $300. If you are convicted of littering three times, you will have to clean the streets once a week with a bib on saying, “I am a litterer. It is admittedly aimed at publicly shaming the offenders to ensure that they will not litter again.
No selling of gum. Chewing gum is okay, but selling it is forbidden. The punishment for smuggling gum into the country is a year in jail and a $5,500 fine. he tenants display the deluxe yet dynamiWith its outdoor concept, the building complex said to be preserves Always pedestrian outdoconcept, the building complex said to be preserves the use natural environmenascrossings. CONCIERGE
Trust the Agents
Many people are still confused to decide using the services of a travel agency or not. There are many reasons why some tourists nowadays, more entrust their holiday travel using a travel agent. Here are seven reasons why travellers better choose to use the services of a travel agency. www.cruiseexperts.com
Travelling By Cruise Although there are cruise lines that use the online system, in fact, most cruises are still booked through a travel agent. Surely a good travel agent and they will offer travellers a decent price. In addition, travellers will also be ensured to get the best room on a cruise ship. Looking for comprehensive services Online agents often give discounts on air tickets, except for some major airlines that carry passengers slightly. A good travel agent will work extra hard to find discounts. In addition, many travel agents associated with consolidators such as companies that offer rebates, but not open for public. Looking for an official ticket Most airlines sell their tickets only through travel agents. The agents do not only send the price list, but they also can help the traveller to determine the complex journey. Experienced travel agent usually will help travellers to choose the right route to maximizing the value of their trip. Requires specific traveller There are many travel agents that specialize the journey into some kind, range from elderly traveller to the person with high mobility. A travel agent usually can easily connect
travellers with like-minded individuals. Agents also have expertise in several fields, such as cruises, luxury travel, etc. Planning a long vacation, complex and multi-country journey Traveling for three weeks or longer for some countries and require travellers to use more types of flight, hotel and car reservations. Many travellers find it easier to leave these details to an expert who can be advised on how to order at their destination. Travellers can make these arrangements themselves online, it is true, but the experts will not be able to answer their more detail questions. Feel uncomfortable using the internet Many people do not have the skills to use the computer to check rates and make reservations online. If travellers do not feel they have the technical skills to do it all yourself, switch to a travel agent. There is nothing wrong with asking for help and advice from the more professional. Travellers have a complicated request Many travellers use a travel agent to avoid possible interference. For example, if travellers need special space, travel agents will be more successful than the travellers do get. Why? Because the hotel owner know that travel agents are in a position to recommend or not a particular hotel for travellers. LUXURY JOURNEY MAGAZINE

TIPS
Wandering on Istiklal Avenue in Istanbul Istiklal Avenue in Istanbul is a busy street. Everything happens on there and if you are taking a city break, it is wise to spend at least a day exploring this street and all the side alleys leading off it. Here are the most popular tourist attractions and things to do when wandering on Istiklal Avenue.
Discover the French street.
It lies on a small side street leading off Istiklal Avenue but is worth going that extra distance. Now a local landmark, it is very popular with tourists but while the dĂŠcor is typical of a street in France, do not expect French food or French waiters! Live music is played during the summer months. Open all year for food or just drinks.
Flower passage is a popular venue at nighttime for food.
The age-old architecture adorning the first level of the buildings is the main attraction here. It includes profile pictures from old managers of Meyhanes that used to be based in flower passage.
Take a photo of exquisite curch building.
There are a few churches in this area but the biggest and best is the St. Anthony of Padua church. The Venetian Neo-Gothic architecture of the inside is impressive. The church is a fully functioning place of worship for Christians that live in a predominately-Muslim country.
Take a tour inside the Mevlevi museum.
This museum is a former lodge of the whirling dervishes of Istanbul. A display of their clothes, instruments and reading material is open to the public. They also hold whirling dervish shows in the side hall that should been seen at least once.
The Independence Monument stands in Taksim square.
A reflection of the Turkish war of independence, many Turks hold it in great esteem. First erected in 1928, it is estimated that at weekends, up to 3 million people will walk past this monument.
Choose the right place to eat.
Eating and drinking your way down Istiklal Avenue will take months. Choose the well-known western chains of fast food, or alternatively sit in a traditional lokanta serving cheap Turkish food.
Let’s go shopping.
Do not forget to shop because it is so easy to empty your bank account with everything that is on sale including clothes, music, technology, home decor, sports, and perfumes. Many shops are chain store brands so the traditional art of bargaining over prices is not accepted, but just wander down the side streets and you will find a local shopkeeper who is quite happy to sit down with you, drink an apple tea and discuss the price you want to pay.
