It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Phoenix’s most talked about interior design event. The Chateau on Central | Design Challenge Arizona event was created to bring the luxury interior design and real estate communities together, along with the public, to explore refined styles in the areas’s most incredible urban setting. There are so many people to thank for this year-long project - the creativity, exceptional vision and the countless hours it took to put this challenge on. I first want to thank the owner/developer/builder of Chateau on Central, the Clark Family, for allowing me to share my vision with them and for trusting that we could do something very special with this event. Second, I’d like to thank our three uber talented designers - Robert Burg, Charles Glover and Beth McGehee who each brought a different vision, process and execution to their design styles yet have delivered undeniably beautiful and thoughtful spaces. I am honored to have super talented local judges by my side, Oscar De las salas and Kelly Persellin, who have brought passion for design and impeccable taste to choosing the designers and winner. It’s our pleasure to work with our special guest judge Luis D. Ortiz, from Million Dollar Listing New York, who brings a refined eye and his International expertise in design. And lastly, we couldn’t have done it without Brad Leavitt with A Finer Touch Construction and our sponsors. Their support, excitment to participate, ongoing commitment and hard work throughout the process made all the difference and we couldn’t have done it without them. The opportunity to work with three extremely talented and focused design firms who were provided the freedom to incorporate outside-the-box design elements and visions to construct unique residences at the Chateau on Central. It has been very fulfilling to share the designer’s excitement as the project has unfolded. Meeting the challenge of completing three residences in such a short amount of time, within budget, while providing the highest level of detail and quality has been extremely rewarding.
What do you find most rewarding about AFT construction?
The ability to transform any project or property from its current condition to a work of art. Additionally, we enjoy working with our clients, designers, and trade partners throughout the construction process as we bring their hopes and dreams to life. We are fortunate to sustain long lasting relationships with our customers, long after the project is complete. On a personal level, we value our company friendships, team unity, and the opportunity to bring our families and friends to see our finished projects.

All ticket sales from tonight’s event benefits Stars of the Season at Cardon Children’s Medical Center and will help establish a Sophie’s Place and creating a permanent home for music therapy.
Sophie’s Place Heals Through Music Therapy
Music therapy at Cardon Children’s is all about using music to help patients and their families deal with what happens when kids get sick and have to be in the hospital. The focus of the music is to work on goals, which can include helping to control pain, giving kids a chance to express themselves, lowering stress and anxiety, and helping them distract from things like needle pokes and medicines. It also helps make it easier for patience to be social and helps make the hospital feel a little more normal. Goals are accomplished through music activities like relaxation with music, music making, instrument improvisation, song singing, song writing and instrument teaching.
