This beautiful new issue is full of inspiration – from stunning wedding decor to healthy skin care to romantic travel destinations. What the publication’s gorgeous look does not reflect is the heroism that I had the privilege of witnessing during our magazine’s creation. We do not normally share behind-the-scenes information, but it is impossible not to share the incredible efforts that went into creating this beautiful issue for all of you to enjoy.

Our most senior team member is Alla Dymyrova, who lives in Ukraine, which we all know is enduring its second year of unrelenting warfare. For over a decade, our creative work with Alla has flowed with ease and this issue was no exception on her part. Her quality work is always seamlessly done, and in harmony with the rest of the team.

As you are enjoying this new issue, I would like to kindly bring your attention to the fact that Alla’s incredible work in this publication was lovingly created under the wailing air raid sirens, between traumatizing trips into a bomb shelter, and during the extremely limited hours during which electricity was available to do this work. I am stunned by Alla’s composure, by her ever-flowing fountain of creativity, and by her true heroism in handling everything that came her way during these unprecedented times.

I am heartbroken about the horrors that our teammate and all Ukrainian people are enduring during this senseless war. I would like to ask that our readers to consider donating to the World Central Kitchen which does amazing work in Ukraine, helping to feed displaced families. I would also encourage you to support the free press in the Russian language. All journalists from the media company Meduza had to flee Russia in the face of criminal prosecution for reporting the truth about the Russian assault on Ukraine.
