concept
With a trapezoidal podium massing, the appearance of the cubic proportioned towers floating above with faceted roofs, creates a germ-like effects that inspires the project name.

The clients' leasing team recommended that office typical floor plate to be as similar as possible. The asymmetrical, trapezoidal plan combined with the distinctive diagonal facade and notched corner, meant that, although the office towers are identical in plan, they still create a dynamic grouped composition.

By alternating the fin profiles on both sides of diagonal so light is caught from different direction, with cut off notches, an illusion of triangular-shaped crystalline volume is created on flat surfaces.

Borei is a class of nuclear powered submarine. However the life span of Borei is 50 years while the nuclear power station is 100 years. Borei City is built on recycled nuclear powered station from retired Borei submarines and it is therefore an independent self powered floating city.
