VEGAS CHAMBER

Mary Beth Sewald, President and CEO

Welcome to the Vegas Chamber’s Annual State of the Chamber and Board of Trustees Installation luncheon. Thank you for being here today and for your steadfast support of the Vegas Chamber. As our community has faced significant economic challenges the past 22 months, your Vegas Chamber has been here for you. Standing up for your business. Bringing our members together to support each other. Developing resources to help you survive and thrive. And collaborating for the sake of our community. 2021 was filled with many accomplishments worthy of celebration: The Vegas Chamber led the entire Nevada business community to successfully defeat nearly all anti-business proposals during the 2021 Legislature. The Vegas Chamber, in partnership with LVGEA, led our largest-ever Washington, D.C. Fly-In. We launched the Southern Nevada Workforce Solutions website to better connect workers with employers and training opportunities. We created a new health insurance plan to help our smallest businesses provide affordable coverage; and we saluted the best of our business community at the new Business of the Year Awards in October. Thank you to Chairwoman Gina Bongiovi and the members of the 2021 Board of Trustees for your support of the Chamber and support of our members. Your dedication is the foundation of our success. As we look forward, there is great optimism about the future. Today, 2022 Chairman Michael Feder will share what’s in store for the Vegas Chamber in the coming months – initiatives to grow our economy; resources to help our small businesses survive; and policy priorities to cultivate prosperity. Optimism is in the air and Nevada businesses are rebuilding better than before – We are Battle Reborn. On behalf of our entire Vegas Chamber team, we are proud to serve you and your business every day. We look forward to working with you in 2022.

Greetings Fellow Vegas Chamber members: As the Vegas Chamber prepares for the coming year, it is a great honor to serve as your Chair in 2022. Thank you for placing your trust in me, especially during these uncertain economic times. We are experiencing a rebirth in Las Vegas, and I believe we are coming back better and stronger than ever; but there is still more work to be done. Working together through the Vegas Chamber is essential to our success. It is through the Vegas Chamber where businesses and people come together to support each other, work together to create prosperity, and focus on rebuilding a vibrant economy and community. GINA BONGIOVI

Immediate Past Chair Principal Bongiovi Law Firm

Gina Bongiovi is Managing Partner of Bongiovi Law Firm, a boutique firm that provides on-demand outside counsel services to businesses of all sizes. In 2005, Gina started a marketing company and, in need of legal advice, couldn't find a lawyer that was willing or able to help a startup like hers. After hearing similar stories from other entrepreneurs, she decided to dedicate her practice to serving startups and small businesses. Over the last twelve years, Bongiovi Law Firm has grown with its clients to serve businesses of all sizes - from one owner to 100, and from those without in-house legal to those whose legal departments need to offload some work. Its attorneys pair business education with real-world experience to provide clients with business-minded legal advice that addresses all facets of business ownership. Much like Robert Duvall's character in the Godfather, think of Bongiovi Law Firm as a business consigliere, except with considerably less violence. Gina has helped establish numerous nonprofits – Dress for Success Southern Nevada, Vegas Shepherd Rescue, Working K9 Rescue, School Guardian Project, Conscious Gaming – and is working on others. She also served on the UNLV Alumni Association Board, as chair of Vegas Young Professionals Advisory Council and currently serves on the Small Business Development Center Board, Dean's Advisory Boards for the Lee Business School and UNLV Honors College, and is the 2021 Chair of the Vegas Chamber's Board of Trustees.
