How can one share from afar the solitary moments of wonder that occur when traveling? How can one take home landscapes, cities or the anonymous faces one encounters along the way? Tourist Postcards respond to these aspirations, fulfilling in a way the desire to capture -in an image and a brief text- a sentiment, an impression or a simple observation. Tourist Postcards are also a statement charged with significance: “I was here”. But who decides what merits being depicted on a Postcard? Here, we see the object represented through other eyes that contemplated it before we did, and decided it was worthy of traveling around the world to thus become part of collective memory.
