Getting Started The Alpha Course MID-SIZE COMMUNITY This community is designed for those who are exploring spiritual life or the Christian faith, as well as new Christians who have never had a foundational course. Discipleship Essentials MID-SIZE COMMUNITIES DE-1 is the recommended next step for Alpha participants and new Christ followers. Discipleship Essentials (DE) communities are open to everyone; Alpha is not a prerequisite. Attending each class in sequence is recommended but not required. DE-2 will help you discover the sweeping biblical story of God’s amazing work to create a new people for His purposes, how it unfolds at Living Word, and how to talk with God the way Jesus did with His Father.

Intro to Living Word

Baptism is a sign or symbol of a person's commitment and loyalty to Christ. Anyone who has made a genuine, full commitment to Christ may (and should) be baptized (including children over the age of 8, teenagers, and adults). A 1-hour baptism information class is required. Lea rn m ore at

Financial Peace University

MID-SIZE COMMUNITY We all need a plan for our money and Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! This biblically based curriculum teaches how to handle money God’s way by giving, budgeting, and spending wisely. Through video teaching by Dave Ramsey, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical and practical steps to get rid of debts like credit cards and student loans and save and invest for future expenses like retirement or your child’s education. There is a cost for materials.

Building meaningful relationships

is necessary for personal and spiritual growth. Connect with others and grow your faith in Jesus by joining a small group of 6–12 people. Growth group members share their lives with each other, examine the Bible, and pray together. Joining a growth group is a great way to make friends if you are new to Living Word. The Well is a sacred space designed to provide you with a restful, prayerful, and presence-filled environment that will help you find refreshment. Our desire is that you will be encouraged to hear God’s voice and respond to Him in love, through reflection and prayer. Offered approximately 3 times/year.

Step outside of the busyness of life and connect with God as you walk the half-mile path sprinkled with five beautifully landscaped prayer gardens. Each garden has a signpost with a reflection to assist you in prayer and meditation. Sacred Path devotionals are available in the Common Grounds lobby with each new season.

Middle School Ministry is designed to help students develop their own faith in Jesus as they transition from the tween to the teen years.
