Adnams Spirits Range

City of London Distillery Gins (Full range available) Micro-distilleries, like City of London, have initiated a renaissance in gin in recent years, making life a whole lot more interesting for gin lovers. Their latest gin, has been designed by expert Master Distiller Tom Nichol. This premium gin combines the subtle flavours of juniper, coriander, angelica root, liquorice and sweet orange to give a complex gin that balances quality and flavour. This gin recently won Double-Gold at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Adnams distillery, the Copper House, sits within the Adnams Brewery in Southwold and is the first brewery / distillery in England that is able to produce high quality spirits directly from the malted grains all the way through to the finished product. They use the same local ingredients to make their spirits - barley, rye, wheat and oats - as they do for their beers. They use the best modern distilling techniques and a small batch process in order to create spirits with exceptional purity, quality and, of course, flavour.

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin Oriental botanicals, gunpowder tea and Irish curiosity. Gin with a fresh citrus taste and spicy notes of oriental botanicals. Slow distilled by hand in the small Irish town of Drumshanbo.

Karma Cola Range Karma Cola: Karma’s original cola recipe is made of real cola nut grown by the Mende and Temne people in Boma, Sierra Leone. Lemony Lemonade: Lemony’s organic lemons and Fairtrade and organic cane sugar bring good fortune to the farmers who get a fair deal for their crop and a lemony zing to you. Gingerella: Gingerella is made of a unique blend of ginger, vanilla, cane sugar and lemons, grown organically by Fairtrade farmers in Sri Lanka.

We also are receiving great feedback from our customers on our new range of Primi Soli wines from Cielo winery in Italy. ON TREND PREMIUM BEER What is premium beer? A pint that costs the consumer over £5 is an obvious indication of a beers quality and positioning, however retailers and consumers believe it is not the most important. Indeed many still consider using ABV content to categorize beers believing premium means over 5%, however 4% brands like Kozel and Coors Light are disproving that method.

THE STORY... Cashmere IPA is an American style session IPA, brewed using Cashmere hops from U.S.A. Cashmere is a relatively new hop, released in 2013 and is cross between Cascade & Northern Brewer. STYLES OF RUM White - clear and colourless often this has spent no time in wood, there are some brands that age in wood and then filter to remove the colour such as Diplomatico. While this is still the dominate subtype in the category white rum is in decline slightly as the others grow.

Golden - a rum that has spent some time aging in wood, often dry or off dry in style due to the complexity of oak ageing.

Dark - usually a molasses rum that has been aged in a charred wooden barrel to give a fuller more caramel flavour. Caramel can be added to give a darker colour.

Spiced - golden or dark rum that has the addition of spiced and flavourings

Rhum Agricole - this is the French style of rum and is distilled from sugar cane juice instead of molasses.
