SMALL & COOL

If you only have a small area in your bathroom, then a smaller and narrower basin and vanity unit are a smart idea. There is room in the vanity unit for the most essential items, and you put the space under the basin to the best possible use. Don’t forget the rest of the wall area – there may be room for a wall cabinet or two over the toilet, or if you choose a mirror cabinet like the one shown opposite. the room feels larger. Mirror cabinets and wall cabinets provide lots of practical storage space.

Furnishing Tip

Light and lighter colours make a room larger, like this one with white furniture and white walls. Plus we have thought of storage in the extra deep lower drawer in the vanity unit, a single mirror cabinet with shelves, USB and electric sockets and a large wall cabinet that does not extend into the room. With everything in drawers and cabinets, a small bathroom is never untidy, but looks light and inviting.

A Handy magnifying mirror with integrated lighting and touch control can be used anywhere. It is shown here in a mirror cabinet with a magnetic holder, but you can take it with you on holiday if you like. It is easy to charge through the integrated USB port.

Furnishing Tip

Exploit a long wall in a narrow bathroom easily, without losing elbow-room, so there is still space for several people. Simply choose the short projection vanity unit, and make the basin as wide as possible, as shown here.
