INSIDEOUT BASE
Insideout base is not only a normal architecture design processing. The topic of this studio is called 'operational armature'. At the very beginning, I developed the rules for basic physical model making. And the physical model was used for researching the shape 's ability for the next step. After transformed the baisic shape to a building, I added different kinds of installations in that building. And that will give the building and site different flow of people. The design never ends, and this step is only for the next design processing.
Different kinds of installations being put into the building. All the users are designer for the building, and the design will never end up.

DESIGN BACKGROUND Thsi project is located at Savannah historical district. It can be seen as a tything lot, which is formed by 5 basic units. But now it is just an empty parking lot. So I want ot creat a 24 hour post office to meet the need of surounding students and residents. That post office also has offices and studios that could be rent. The 24 hour post office is mainly running by the volunteers, who are students or urban tourist. Volunteers would get free hostel and studio for rest and study. And the rent paid by studio and office users could also be used for running the post office.

This is a combanation of urban design and architecture design. Site is an island in Guangzhou. I created a new transportation system using the cannels. Then designed a new transportation tool, the flexible deck, to be as the main tool in the site.
USE
Tow neighboring big ships a mirror. They can combain bigger platforms and bigger steps.

WINE IN MINE
Wine- theme city park design. Basing on the restoration of abandoned mine. The restoration materials are gotten from surrounding villages. The processing are devided into three steps. With each step, the site production could be used for making wine. So finally the park will become a wine making theory eco-park.

MALI EXTENSION
Summer internship did in BLDGS. This project is a design competiton in Lima. It's en extension of MALI museum. The building is next to an historic building which needs to be preserved. So we desinged the new building mainly underground. The on the ground part is only some light boxes that could let the light going down to the museum.

NORTH WEST BOND
The North West Bond arrives at an important moment in Chicage's growth as a 21st- century city. The former manufacturing corridor along the interior waterways of Chicago is emerging as an innovation belt where knowledge-based industries are seeking to find a home. The Bond is the catalytic link in this innovation belt. This project honors the legacy of the waterway and has the promise of generating both local and regional economic development.

High performance urban housing design. Located on beltline. Trying to use the bridge to keep bletline being linked. The comunity could provide a space for two or three generations to live together. The apartment has two levels to let different generations to live on different levels. The circle roof could collect solar energy and rain water. Playground
