Calvary Creekside

A home for loving Jesus, His people and His Word Jesus takes center stage at Calvary Creekside. Serving North Whatcom County for over 20 years, the local body of believers has taken its mission of loving Jesus and loving people across the world, sending missionaries everywhere from South Africa to South Carolina and routinely engaging in opportunities to serve and share the love of Jesus in places of need, whether sending teams to drill wells in Bolivia, partnering with at-need groups in Lynden or assisting in relief efforts in Houston following Hurricane Harvey’s devastation. With a continued focus on those outside of the church’s walls, the weekly meetings at Calvary Creekside, located at 2313 E. Badger Rd., remain casual affairs with a focus on teaching through the Bible in a verse-by-verse format. Calvary Creekside features two identical services on Sunday mornings—with children’s ministry for all ages—and mid-week meetings that include a Rangers Club for kindergarten through fifth grade boys, a Beautiful Girlhood opportunity for girls in kindergarten through fifth grade, junior high meetings at The Barn and a high school group. “With everything we have going on, both at the church during the week and across the world,” said Tony Neal, pastor, “above all else we strive to remain faithful to God and spread the love of Jesus by loving people.”

Hope Lutheran Church

God’s Work. Our Hands. Caring for People Locally and Globally

In response to God’s gift of forgiveness and assurance of eternal life, Hope Lutheran Church members love and care for our neighbors locally and globally. With the support of local residents and businesses, Hope Lutheran’s outreach activities include: • Backpack Buddies. We’ve started this year filling backpacks with weekend food for hungry children. While many children receive subsidized meals during school days, Backpack Buddies fills the gap when they head home for weekends. • Migrant camps. We recently completed our third summer of distributing books to children at local migrant camps, then filling backpacks with school supplies for them before they leave. We’re grateful for support from Iglesia Hispana de Lynden, Interfaith Coalition and Project Kindness. • Family Promise. Hope Lutheran will be a host church for Family Promise in Whatcom County, starting in 2018. Family Promise shelters homeless children and their parents in local congregations. Guests receive overnight accommodations and meals. We’ll need help from other congregations and volunteers. We worship at 10 a.m. Sundays from September through May and 9:30 a.m. Sundays from June through August at 900 E. Grover St., Lynden. For more information about worship or supporting one of our programs, please call Pastor Marjorie Lorant at (360) 354-4211, visit www. LyndenHopeLutheran.org or follow us on Facebook.

Triumph Lutheran Church is a place for imperfect people to find

forgiveness and reconciliation to God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. From the preaching and teaching of God’s Word we find joyful salvation in his forgiveness and fellowship with one another. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” This freedom is found by God’s grace alone; through faith alone; in Christ Jesus alone; and we learn to live in this freedom through the Holy Spirit and God’s word. We invite you to join us in Jesus’ name. Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC)

American Reformed Church

Building on the firm foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We are...

Biblical: The Word of God is our foundation for all of life and prac-

tice and serves as the basis for all authority in our church; we believe that the Bible is completely trustworthy and sufficiently reveals to us everything we need to believe in order to be saved. Reformed: We trace our roots back to the Reformation when the Bible was reclaimed as the foundation for all of life – including our occupation, education, church governance, our witness in the world, etc. Confessional: We adhere to, study and regularly reconfirm the historic creeds of the early church and the Three Forms of Unity (the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dort). We consider these man-made documents to be faithful summaries of the Word of God, but they are always subject to the Bible as the final standard. Covenantal: We believe from the Bible that through the ages and still today the Lord works His grace mightily through the generations, using the means of Christian parental nurture to call many covenant children to faith. Liturgical: Our worship services are a reverent covenant dialogue between the congregation and the awesome Maker of heaven and earth; the heart of our service is the preaching of the Word highlighting Jesus Christ as the center of God’s plan of redemption and also features robust psalm and hymn singing, as well as the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Come join God’s people in worship and praise! American Reformed Church
