One of the UK’s largest producers of concrete products for a range of market sectors, Creagh Concrete operates a large, varied and highly specialist fleet. At the time of writing, the offsite precast manufacturing company’s transport manager was overseeing some 38 trucks and 60 trailers. The fleet is regularly replenished and kept in pristine condition at all times by an experienced team of maintenance operatives stationed at their busy Toomebridge maintenance workshop.

With cranes situated behind the cab, the trucks are so versatile that they can get into almost any tight site and reach up to 16m. This requires great skill and precision from Creagh’s expert fitting team – yet another area where this industry-leading company stands out from the competition.

Rapidcore is the new name for Creagh Concrete’s precast offsite cores. Rapidcore lift and stair cores are manufactured offsite in bespoke moulds and – following professional deliveryare installed quickly and efficiently by specialist installation teams.

Creagh can design and manufacture the capping slabs with all temporary and permanent anchors cast in. With a reduced on-site construction time of more than 50% and offering an inherent fireproof solution, Rapidcore can also be designed as shear walls to provide lateral stability or as an efficient replacement for blockwork or in situ concrete.

In June, the Creagh Concrete team were celebrating once more when Hackney New Primary School and 333 Kingsland Road was honoured with a RIBA National Award 2022. This magnificent project - a unique hybrid building combining a 350-pupil primary school and 68 homes on a former fire station site - has won dozens of awards since its completion in 2020.

The apartment building touches the pavement in a well-mannered way, with a welcoming colonnade giving space to the public realm and a sense of place to the shop fronts. This stunning piece was manufactured in Creagh Cpncrete’s facility in Toomebridge and installed by their expert onsite team.

The family-owned company’s products and services remain in high demand and their order book is currently extremely healthy. They recently secured their largest contract to date, with international property company Vastint, valued at £26m. For this, Creagh’s Rapidres precast system will be used to build three apartment blocks in London.
