Tourism Related Complex Place : Barletta Years : 2016-2017 Architectural project : arch. Fausto Fiore Structural project : ing. Antonio Palmieri - ing. Savino Riondino Site supervision : arch. Fausto Fiore, ing. Antonio Palmieri, ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration for structural project/site supervision : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project is part of a MasterPlan typified by the PRG of the Municipality of Barletta, which aims to complete, through green areas and buildings of a collective and receptive nature, a recently urbanized area near the Litoranea di Levante. The building, with reinforced concrete structure, designed by the architect Fiore, have an articulated planimetric development and is partially below the road level; it has been
specific restrictions by the provincial Superintendency, because the context in which it will arise. The structural project was confronted with a strong irregularity in the distribution of the masses, due to the architectural distribution, with a weak ground, which resulted in structural choices with the aim of limiting differential yields and problems due to seismic behavior.
Buon Pastore’s Rectory Place : Barletta Years: 2016-2017 Architectural project : ing.Savino Riondino Structural project : ing.Massimiliano Borgia Site supervision : ing. Savino Riondino, ing. Massimiliano Borgia Collaboration for architectural project : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project includes the demolition of an old building in Vitrani street, no longer used by the Curch “Buon Pastore”, and the construction of a building destinated for children activity (downstairs) and parson (2 upper floors). The project seeks to respond to the needs of Church, lacking in some spaces necessary for its activities,
due to the fact that the site surrounded by private buildings. The project, financed by CEI funds, aims at the reuse of a low-used area, and of the square in front of it; returning to the Municipality, at the end of the convention, a new building that can be reused, but Municipality haven’t used funds for its construction.
Renovation of Masonry Building Place : Barletta Years : 2016 - 2017 Architectural Project : ing. Savino Riondino Structural Project : ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration (design/site supervision) : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project aim to seismic retrofitting of masonry building, affected by instability phenomena and evacuated by long time. The Team purpose to providing three small autonomous units served by stairs and elevator, also thanks to the expansion achieved in last level . The structural interventions concerned the consolidation of existing walls by grouting
mortar joints, mortar injections based on natural hydraulic lime, and reinforced plaster. The floors were reinforced through the use of lightened concrete slabs, new bonduary ring beam and connection joints to the masonry, substitutions of slab portions and replacement of the floor covering, with one of laminated wood.
V_Manfredi Place : Barletta Years : 2016-2017 Architectural Project : ing. Savino Riondino Structural Project : ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project provides for a demolition and reconstruction intervention for two adjacent masonry buildings, abandoned and partly occupied illegally. The new construction will include a building with reinforced concrete structure, energy efficient and sustainable. The new building will
be divided into 4 levels providing one or two units per level, for different families. Due to the proximity of historic city center, the project tries to establish a dialogue with it, in search of a possible harmony between different constructions and respecting the local culture.
In_Centro Place : Barletta Year : 2017 Architectural Project : ing. Vincenzo Palumbieri - ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project concerns a partially abandoned area, facing buildings from the beginning of the 19th century and limited by recently constructed buildings. The project, framed within the regulatory framework of the “Piano Casa, provides for the demolition of existing buildings replaced by new construction in reinforced concrete, characterize by energy efficiency and sustai-
nable according to the parameters of the Itaca Puglia Protocol. The flat units has been planned from two to three per floor, with various sizes to meet different market demands. In facade, the design reflections aim, through the identification of a compositional metric, to establish a dialogue between the various urbanized contexts.
Wood Constructions Place : Barletta Years : 2016-2017 Project : ing. Savino Riondino Site supervision : ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
Collaboration in the design and site supervision of wooden floors and constructions, to replacing of deteriorated floors in existing buildings in recovery projects, construction of roofs, or generic costruction in laminated wood.
Warehouse in laminated wood Place : Barletta Year : 2017 Architectural Project : ing. Savino Riondino Structural Project : ing. Savino Riondino Site Supervision : ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project concerns the construction of a structure to be used as a warehouse for tertiary activities, on private property. The structural organization responds to the functional needs of the client, and it was decided to create the structure entirely in laminated wood, with the exception of the foundations, in reinforced concrete.
Complex of single-family houses Place : Barletta Year : 2016 Architectural project : ing. Savino Riondino Collaboration : ing. Marco Gorgoglione
The project concerns the construction of a little complex of small houses with one or two levels above ground and private gardens. Taking advantage offered by the “Plan House” of the Puglia country, it’s considered
to demolishing existing buildings, and obtaining an extra-volume to build. At the preliminary level, to achieve the normative prescriptions, are expected high levels of sustainability and energy efficiency.

Dissertation - Energy Efficiency Title : Solar Shadings for comfort and energy efficiency in buildings Case study : Liceo Scientifico “Carlo Cafiero”, Barletta Paper : Stefanizzi, Gorgoglione, Nico | Solar Shading in Energy performances of buildings| Quaderni di Legislazione Tecnica, n°1/2016
The thesis work has been focused on the role of solar shading in energy efficiency improvement for public buildings, according to possibilities offered by recent regulatory developments. The study focused both on the energy balance of the building, evaluated dynamically, and on the conditions of thermal comfort and lighting.
As a case study, a possible energy efficiency improvement, has been analyzed for the “Carlo Cafiero” High School of Barletta, whit some architectural pecuriality. The work focused on a critical reflection on the state of art, and the results has been published in the “Quaderni” series of “Legislazione Tecnica”.
Renovation of Suburb Area - San Pio | Bari Workshop in Course of Architecture and Architectural Composition III prof. arch. Mauro Scionti
LThe area be in charge of the project, consists of macro-agglomerations construction and abandoned areas destined to services. The project aim at reinforce the urban perception of spaces: through the centralization of volumes built along a paved path and around a square. The park, on the other hand, raises the urban
quality standards of the area, creating a valid alternative to leisure and leisure time, thanks to the services offered in the micro-architectures created within it, not aesthetically impacting but promoting social integration. The central area creates a point of reference with a square and cultural activities.
Multi functional Center Workshop in Course of Architecture and Architectural Composition III prof. arch. Antonella Calderazzi, arch. Luigi Falbo A.A. 2012 - 2013 Working group: A. De Gennaro, A. Fusaro, M. Gorgoglione
The project for the refurbishment of the Ceglie area, in the Suburb of Bari, aim to create a dialogue between natural resources and the need to revitalize an abandoned area. The functional mix, designed to create a peripheral centrality, is linked to the process of renaturalisation of
the area thanks to the articulation of new buildings that are centralized on the central square, embraced by urban gardens. It’s possible to creating a small circular economy thanks to the possible relationships between economic activities connected to it.
Project M.45 - Minimal House
Workshop in Course of Architecture and Architectural Composition I prof. arch. Lorenzo Netti A.A. 2010 - 2011
The project is developed within the theme of small architectures, which reminding the archetype of essential living. The goal was to elaborate propotypes that would respond to the minimum needs of living for a single person, in a 5m cube. It has been proposed a
volume that wraps itself on developing a path along the main phases of daily life, up to the central part destined to rest. The results of this workshop have been published in the book “Basic Architecture” by Lorenzo Netti, published by Libria in 2015.
“ The M.45 project is very rigorous and coherent with the theme of a minimal house intended for a single inhabitant. The wooden wall of which it is made, wraps itself on five stretches that degrade from the outside to the inner core of the small house. Only the central trapezium with the kitchen, the toilet and the bed niche are covered by a sloped floor at the top in correspondence with the toilet. There is no door but a defected access point. Only a thin slot in the inclined planks of the walls allows you to connect the interior and exterior by establishing a visual connection with the outside” Adolfo Natalini
