...You’ll Love These!

If You Like This...

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special twelve-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals.

Reviews

The Guardian Obviously a masterpiece, probably the best supernatural novel in a hundred years. The most remarkable storyteller in modern American literature.

Dallas News For just about everyone who’s read it, Stephen King’s 1977 novel The Shining is an all-time horror high: a visceral, destined-fornightmares orgy of ghosts, gore and all-around nastiness set in a haunted Colorado hotel. King revisits that book’s primary victim, young Danny Torrance, with gleeful, assured mastery in the sequel, Doctor Sleep. It’s not just as good as The Shining; it’s far better.

Kirkus Reviews Satisfying at every level. King even leaves room for a follow-up, should he choose to write one—and with luck, sooner than three decades hence.
