CENCORED

X-ACTLY SO! The Roentgen Rays, the Roentgen Rays, What is this craze? The town’s ablaze With the new phase Of X-ray’s ways. I’m full of daze, Shock and amaze; For nowadays I hear they’ll gaze Thro’ cloak and gown—and even stays, These naughty, naughty Roentgen Rays.

STRATIGRAPHY

FUTURE

The work is the representation of the courtyard of Mehmet Efendi Madrasa. It was created by using oil pastels and excavating through a certain body of the coloured area which is a reference to archaeological techniques of discovering ancient mosaics to the surface. The excavation is the second layer of another spatial respresentation ,so the first layer is seen through it which is intented to be coincidental.

PRINTING THE BODY

In this work we have used linolium printing to respresent ourselves by engraving our body on linolium and printed it in two different colors. We work on two and more overlapping layers to discover the moment. I keep apart one of the my body part and print them in different angles on the prewious print.

FROM THE GARBAGE

TALES

Dirtiness is an inseparable part of daily life. But it has no place in architectural representation. To criticize it, we tried to reflect all kinds of pollution that may or may not be present in the space with the fruits and other coloured products that we collect from the Üsküdar bazaar. We have drawn the section of the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque and coloured with ‘dirtiness’ of Üsküdar.
