Located in Game Management Unit 73 which is known for monster mule deer, several deer in the 200” range all the way up to 230” have been seen within miles of the ranch. GMU 73 has approximately 27% public land and a majority is hard to access with being landlocked by private ground and is in one of the most strategic areas for migrating mule deer off Mesa Verde National Park. This unit offers over the counter elk tags and the property qualifies for landowner tags yearly.

Located in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado, 25 miles north of the historic town of Durango. Established in 1965, Purgatory offers 99 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,605± skiable acres, 88 trails and 12 lifts, including one six-person and one high speed quad lift. Known for being one of the best values in Colorado and a great destination for beginners and intermediates. The elevation at the summit is 10,822 feet (3,299 m), with a vertical drop of 2,029 feet (618 m).
Durango, Colorado was founded by the Denver & Rio Grande Railway in 1879. The railroad arrived in Durango on August 5, 1881 and construction on the line to Silverton began in the fall of the same year. By July of 1882, the tracks to Silverton were completed, and the train began hauling both freight and passengers.

Telluride Ski ResortTelluride, CO Telluride Ski Resort is considered one of Colorado’s best ski resorts and one of the best in the country—and for good reason. More than 2,000 skiable acres and 4,425-foot vertical drop: 23 percent beginner, 36 percent intermediate, 41 percent expert/advanced. The small, 8-by-12 block town itself is an adorable, European-style village set in a canyon of tall mountain peaks. Although it is most well-known as a winter destination, music and food festivals draw visitors in the warmer months.
It’s the largest lake in the San Juan National Forest, with a beautiful topography of piñon, juniper, and sagebrush trees. Things to do at the McPhee Recreation Area include boating, fishing, camping, hiking and biking.
