The Ranch Los Hornos Mountain Ranch is one of the most picturesque pieces of ground in Northern New Mexico. Consisting of two ranches, totaling 1,249.31± acres with various topographies of giant spruce, quaking aspen forests, and mountain meadows. Both ranches are undeveloped, offering tremendous hunting, recreation, and summer grazing opportunities. The larger ranch, totaling 807.05± mountain top acres is home to rolling terrain, heavy timber, spring valleys and alpine meadows. Three predominant springs coupled with the terrain create great habitat environments for wildlife. Offering two access points from both East and West provides a diversity in uses. Elevations on the ranch scale up to 9,200 feet making this hightop mesa mountain acreage optimal in views and privacy for early archery and rifle hunts.

The lower acreage offers 442.27± acres with paved access off County Road 518. Old timber growth, big views and outstanding privacy make up this portion of the ranch. The ranch is embedded with Calvary history and backs up to Carson National Forest on its west border. Carson National Forest is well known for its big canyon walls, mesa tops, and outstanding habitat of grasslands promoting the expansive elk habitat. Located in game management unit 46, the ranch qualifies for landowner tags yearly. The ranch qualifies for the e-plus tag program and gives you the opportunity to hunt any 5 days from September 1st until the end of December.

Enclosed by a forest of spruce and pine, the small valley displays abundant wildflowers and beautiful fall foliage. The park is ideal for fly fishing, camping, hiking and birding.

Mora National Fish Hatchery Mora, NM Mora NFH is dedicated to the restoration and recovery of the threatened Gila trout, a fish found only in the high desert and mountain watersheds of the Gila, Salt, and Verde drainages in New Mexico and Arizona. Biologists maintain wild brood stocks of the rare Gila trout, keeping them in as much a natural setting as possible. The facility has the ability to keep broodfish separated in four specially designed systems, as well as hold wild fish in four separate isolation facilities. These systems are also used for emergency rescue of fish threatened by wildfire.

Taos Ski Valley Resort Taos, NM Flanked by sacred wilderness, rugged peaks and multicultural vibes, there’s a reason Taos Ski Valley sits in the center of New Mexico’s Enchanted Circle.
