Carole Gray

LAKEWOOD OAKS COUNTRY CLUB FEATURED ARTIST

During the months of July and August, you can view some thought provoking and beautiful art by Carole Gray. Carol’s painting technique involves using either transparent or opaque layers of color in oils or more isolated color fields in acrylic. The two techniques sometimes overlap creating exquisite art.

Carole’s influence comes from the environment, architecture, other artists, concepts, news, everyday ordinary things and monumental events. Carole’s work tends to focus on natural shapes, patterns from nature and random ideas that come to her attention, sometimes when least expected. She likes detail, chaos and ambiguity; rearranging objects and shapes in unfamiliar ways. Carole’s influence comes from the environment, architecture, other

artists, concepts, news, everyday ordinary things and monumental events.

Her paintings are usually presentational with varying degrees of abstraction, and her work is centered on the interconnectivity of all things to their surroundings. Carole builds what she enjoys and hopes to provide a new idea or experience for the viewer.

Carole attended Ohio University

studying art, earned a BA Degree in

Studio Art from UMKC and has an Associate Degree in Vet Technology from Maple Woods Community College.

We invite you to stop by the Lakewood Oaks Country Club and experience Carole Gray’s art.
