TEMPERATURES ARE coming down, days are getting shorter, rough is thickening back up, and the greens will start firming up after aerification. All of these signs are pointing toward one thing - autumn is right around the corner. Do not overreact; there is no need to board up the houses and head for a warmer climate just yet. September and October offer the best course and weather conditions of the year. Not only is this a great time for playing at Lakewood Oaks Country Club, but it is also a great time to gear up in the golf shop. All of our summer items will be going on deep discount this month, as we make room for our fall and winter apparel. Please stop in the golf shop to take advantage of the remarkable deals.
