November represents the transition from the autumn harvest season to winter. It’s the month that hosts Thanksgiving, family, friends, and food. It’s also the month that many of us think about what we are thankful for which ignites feelings of gratitude. In these stressful times, I keep reading how expressing thankfulness and gratitude benefits us physically and emotionally.
Regarding Lakewood, I’m grateful for many things, one of which is our COMMITTEES. Lakewood would not be the community we are today without our residents stepping up to the plate to volunteer their time to enhance LPOA.
There are four kinds of LPOA committees: Administrative, Standing Advisory, Parcel, and if needed, an Ad Hoc advisory. Those four kinds are then broken down into 11 different committees, each with its own job description. Every committee contributes to this community in its own way with different time commitments. Every committee makes a difference.
Often times our committees are not in the spotlight, but I know they are the backbone of this community. The board is thankful for the time you have given us.
Please plan to attend the November 4, 7:00 p.m. Public Budget meeting at the clubhouse and see where your money goes.
