• Direct staff to coordinate Landings vote to amend their Governing Documents
If this had been any other spring, we would have held the annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. However, it was anything but a regular Christmas Eve when the extreme cold and wind caused our fire suppression system to burst and result in great damage to the Lakewood Oaks Clubhouse. While we were unable to host our Volunteer Dinner at our usual date, we will be rescheduling it to September 20th, 2023.
Standing Committees, whether Advisory or Administrative, are a valuable resource to the LPOA. Committees provide an avenue of communication between the residents, the Board of Directors, and the General manager. Committee members are approved by the Board on a regular basis through Consent Agenda. We are all grateful for your time and energy. The Administrative Committees are permanent and
• Accept amendment to Policy 5, with revisions, and direct staff to bring procedures for slip reassignment back to the Board for approval
• By-laws amendment, clarifying Maximum Annual Assessment formula matches language in parent document
• Direct staff to draft policy to require clubs and committees that receive funding to submit budgets to be approved by the Board
• Purchase of replacement Syntheitc Turf for Cove Play Park

• Main Lake Treatment Re-authorization and Schedule the Facilities Development Committee, the Finance Committee, the Insurance Committee, the Food and Beverage Committee, the Activities Committee, and the Lake Use Committee. outlined in the Covenants. Those are the Architectural Review Committee, Appeals Committee, Election Committee, and the Executive Committee which is composed of the four officers elected by the Board. Administrative Committees follow our Covenants and By-Laws.
Advisory Committees regularly submit recommendations and reports to the Board and are established for a specific purpose. These are

A third, lesser used committee distinction, is an Ad-Hoc Committee, established temporarily for a very specific purpose, such as this year’s 50th Anniversary Committee.
This year the Board did not get the opportunity to say thank you in person to the almost eighty residents who serve on various committees. I am saying it now on the Board’s behalf. Lakewood is a better place to live because of the dedication and involvement of its residents. To every resident who has volunteered on any level in our community this year, thank you for your time and talent. You make a difference.
