Lakewood Sail & Paddle Club

The Lakewood Sail & Paddle Club is celebrating its 20th year of providing “On The Water” access for Lakewood residents. To help celebrate our 20th anniversary, the club will keep last year’s COVID-19 reduced annual membership fees. Family – $50/year: Includes personal use for your family and your guests with you.

Lakewood Stitchers

The Lakewood Stitchers Club meets the second Thursday of each month in a residential home, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your knitting, crocheting, needlework, or other portable craft. Join us in a neighborly chat, while seeing all the creative ideas. If you would like to learn to knit, crochet, or learn any other needleart, we are happy to provide personal instruction as well. Lakewood Tennis

Drop-in Tennis

On Thursday evenings, the LPOA Tennis Club is sponsoring an adults program: Drop- In Tennis, at the main tennis courts on Lake Drive at 6:00 pm. We will have pick-up matches and instruction (if requested). So, dust off that racquet, and come on down. This is an opportunity to get out and enjoy the spring.

Youth Clinics

During the month of Jun, the Tennis Club will sponsor three clinics for kids. Save these dates for bringing your kids out for some fun and tennis.

Saturdays: June 12, June 19, and June 26

9:00 – 10 a.m. – Ages 6 to 12 10:00 – 11 a.m. – Ages 13 to 18 Drinks, snacks and prizes will be given for all those participating. Garden Club

9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Refreshments 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Business Meeting/Program Lakewood Oaks Country Club Unity Village, the national headquarters of Unity Church, is known for its gorgeous buildings, ample fountains, and flower gardens. After the meeting on June 23, Garden Club will carpool to Unity Village campus where Mark Martin, Lakewood resident and Garden Club member, has arranged a guided tour of the beautiful Rose Garden and Fountains. There will also be a tour of the Airbnb homes on the grounds, if permitted at that time. Guests are always welcome!

Pilates Club

Tuesdays, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Meets in the August Room, downstairs of the Clubhouse Social distancing is observed. Classes are currently full, as only six people allowed at time. To be placed on the waiting list and/or receive Pilates Club e-blasts, email Cath at lakewoodpilatesclub3@gmail.com.

Moms’ Club

Lakewood Yoga

Yoga will meet live in the Augusta Room in the Lakewood Clubhouse. Please bring your own mat and props. You will be asked to sign a waiver on the first visit. Consult your health care provider for approval before starting a new activity such as yoga and follow any restrictions recommended. All levels of experience including beginners are welcome. Monday 5:30 - 6:30 PM medium level class Thursday 5:30 - 6:30 PM gentle level class Saturday 9:00 -10:15 AM active level class

Lakewood Bass Fishing Club Tournament schedule:

June 19, 7 a.m. -1:00 p.m. ($50/boat) Tuesday night tournaments ($20/boat) will begin on the first Tuesday in May and will run 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Basic tournament rules apply to all tournaments. Participants must have a functioning livewell and no-puncture cull tags. Ladies Splashers Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics will start Monday, May 31 and run through Monday, September 6, 2021 beginning at the Lakewood Oaks Pool. During mid-July, we will change locations to the Lakewood Aquatic Center. Classes are provided in two sessions: 7:15 and 8:15 a.m., Monday - Saturday Bring water to drink, water shoes to protect your feet and prevent slipping, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.
