BUILDING SURVEYOR BERKSHIRE SALARY UP TO £50,000 PLUS BENEFITS The Englefield Estate covers some 14,000 acres in Berkshire and Hampshire. The Estate is a thriving community consisting of residential and commercial property farmland, woodlands, minerals and renewables. The Estate’s other properties comprise a wide range of traditional buildings including a large Grade II* house, a Grade I listed Elizabethan manor, farm buildings, stable yards and heritage properties. You will ideally be an MRICS qualified Building Surveyor leading the maintenance, repair and improvement of such buildings and structures across the Estate. This is a key role in bringing modern management techniques and a consistent approach to a traditional Estate ensuring long-term prosperity of the Estate and of those who live and work on it.

Key Responsibilities • Delivering agreed standards of maintenance, repair and improvement of buildings and infrastructure on the Estate in a safe, cost effective and timely manner within agreed budgets and schedules of work. • Undertaking quinquennial surveys of buildings and preparing conservation plans for listed and heritage properties. • Day to day liaison with the Clerk of Works and supporting him in the supervision of Estate Yard staff, building works, health & safety and general welfare of the team. • Managing budgets and cost forecasts, financial reporting and monitoring efficiency on a monthly basis.

The Individual • • • •

Ideally be an MRICS qualified Building Surveyor; broad Estate management experience would also be advantageous. Good working knowledge of CDM regulations, JCT contracts, Health & Safety and Listed Building regulations. Be well organised, efficient, able to work quickly and accurately under pressure whilst maintaining excellent customer service at all times. With a genuine passion for a customer driven approach to property services, pragmatism and resilience you will be comfortable operating strategically and in the detail of day-to-day operations.
