HEAD OF PROPERTY EXCELLENT REMUNERATION PACKAGE IPSWICH The East of England Co-operative Society is the largest independent retailer in East Anglia with a turnover of £350 million. The Society is owned entirely by its 275,000 members and trades ethically with diverse partners. The retail family comprises food, funeral, optical and pharmacy, trading from over 230 outlets. The Society has a significant investment property portfolio valued at £110 million and with an annual income of £7 million generated from over 500 properties. They have ambitious plans to extend their retail estate and extend and improve their investment portfolio. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic chartered surveyor to lead this business expansion within a fast-paced environment. This Senior Management position will report directly to the Property Executive.

The Role

The Individual

Maximise the profit and capital performance of the investment portfolio through active asset management including: • Acquisitions and disposals to drive investment performance. • Extract value by asset management including leasing, lease renewals / rent reviews, refurbishments, development and active management. Oversee and deliver the pro-active asset and estate management of the trading estate including: • Acquisition of new trading locations across the region. • The effective management of the estate to minimise costs and exploit value including lease renewals / rent reviews and liaison with landlords.

Chartered surveyor with extensive post qualification experience. Experience in asset management and investment in relation to a mixed use investment portfolio. Proven estate management experience in relation to a trading portfolio preferably working in a retail environment. Ability to oversee, direct and manage a team of nine professionals engaged in estate management and acquisitions. Effective communication, negotiation and project management skills. Well organised, enthusiastic and results driven.
