Prime Insight Annual Salary Survey 2013

OVERVIEW

Foreword Many thanks for your interest in the Prime Insight Salary Survey 2013. For those who have responded to both this year’s and last year’s survey, I appreciate your continued interest and participation. To all the new participants an equal thank you for making this year’s survey bigger, better and more insightful than ever! 2012-2013 has clearly shared many of the same economic frustrations and challenges as the previous year, but has also given us great cause for celebration and interest too. It is encouraging to see that 37% of respondents are anticipating an improvement in economic activity during 2013, the average salary of a UK Insight & Analysis professional is showing an increase of 2.3% compared to 2012 and that the average bonus is also showing an increase, up 5.2% on last year’s findings. With an increase of 23% in participation levels I hope that you find this year’s executive summary beneficial when exploring present and future employment opportunities, either for yourself or for your company.

Introduction In April 2013, UK professionals from the Insight/Research, Analytics, Web/Digital and Category Insight industries participated in the second Prime Insight Annual Salary Survey. Together, their responses make up the Prime Insight Annual Salary Survey. This survey is the most comprehensive survey of its kind with responses totalling 1,138 (up from 922 in the previous year). The results from the Prime Insight Salary Survey provide statistics on salaries, bonuses and employment package benefits. It also offers an insight into the wider issues that are important to professionals in their role and their wider attitudes toward employment within the industry. The results from this year and future salary surveys, will provide information on current trends as well as a year on year comparison. The 2013 Prime Insight Annual Salary Survey results are to be announced late June 2013.
