HEAD OF PROPERTY OPERATIONS WINDSOR CASTLE EXCELLENT REMUNERATION Owing to a recent reorganisation, an exciting new position has arisen in the Royal Household Property Section. Priding itself on the achievement of exceptional standards and as a centre of excellence for the upkeep of historic buildings, the team is responsible for property services at sites ranging from Royal Palaces to gardens and stables, residential houses, offices, garages and workshops. As Head of Property Operations you will lead, direct and manage effectively all property services (including gardens and fire) across the Windsor estate to ensure delivery of high performance, customer focused and cost effective services. You will have oversight of all property works ensuring that minor projects and maintenance activities are appropriately planned, prioritised, co-ordinated and delivered within programmed dates; to ensure best use of resources, achieving value for money; and to ensure that work is carried out to the required standards. This dynamic role is a rare opportunity for an ambitious and talented Senior Surveyor with extensive management experience to apply their skills to this prestigious portfolio.

To work closely with the Director and senior colleagues to share best practice and ensure a consistent approach to property management and service provision. First-rate project management skills. Able to manage tight programmes, adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise work/resources. Provide a dynamic “hands-on” approach to enhance the estate, to achieve medium and long-term objectives and play a vital role in the future direction of the property team. Represent the Royal Household and demonstrate enthusiasm in the drive to maintain the Estates as a whole. To promote a working environment where staff are motivated and adaptable; and to generally facilitate the development of a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Educated to degree level with substantial experience as a Surveyor (building or engineering), and ideally experience of managing and maintaining historic / listed buildings. As a proven leader with extensive experience managing teams; you will have a track record of driving performance and developing capability. Drawing on exceptional relationship-building, communication and interpersonal skills you will be influential, adept at managing stakeholder relationships and will drive a collaborative working culture. With a genuine passion for a customer-driven approach to property services, pragmatism and resilience you will be comfortable operating strategically and in the detail of day-today operations.
