Chiropractic is an alternative medicine and health care profession that focuses its approach on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neuromusculoskeletal disorders, and their effects. There are only two schools that offer chiropractic degrees (DC or Doctor of Chiropractic) in Canada: CMCC (Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College) and UQTR (Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières). The CMCC receives around 750 applications each year and admits 200 students. Applications are completed directly though the CMCC website at www.cmcc.ca. Applications are due every year on November 15.
The UQTR accepts 47 students each year. However, only five of those spots are reserved for francophone applicants from outside of Quebec (N.B. UQTR only offers this program in French). For more information on their application process and requirements, visit the UQTR website at www.uqtr.ca.
