Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking is a nice hobby for people who like handicrafts. A scrapbook is a decorated photo album with pictures or other precious memorabilia, e.g. certificates, letters or tickets from holidays.
Birdwatching

Trainspotting

You can window shop without any money because you only look at shops’ windows. You don’t have to buy anything or enter a shop. You may look around and go to the next window.
Autograph collecting
Autograph collecting is collecting the signatures and autograp hs of famous people. You can collect let ters, documents, books and signed photogr aphs. a. Scrapbooking is a hobby for people who like books. b. If you like nature you can go birdwatching. c. If your hobby is window shopping you need a lot of money. d. If you collect autographs you collect the signatures of famous people. e. Trainspotters are people who watch birds in the forest. TASK 3 Work in pairs. Look at the list of hobbies and pastimes below:
gardening, reading books, swimming, window shopping, painting, jogging, writing poems, partying, autograph collecting. Choose one and try to describe it to your neighbour without giving the name of the hobby. Your neighbour has to guess the meaning of it, e.g.:
– You can do it in the morning or in the afternoon. It’s good for your health. You need a special costume to do this. You can do it in winter or in summer. You may use special glasses to protect your eyes. – Is it swimming? – Yes! TASK 4 Work in pairs. Think of what you would like to do on a lazy Sunday. Then study the list of activities (you may think of extra expressions, too) and complete the chart. Share your ideas with other group members.
