O HOUSE BUS STOP The Oglethorpe house is a student housing building on UGA campus with a poorly located bus stop that isn’t being used properly. Instead of using the existing bus stop the campus buses are stoping in front of a planting bed causing students to disturb the planting bed. In order to fix this we decided to move two of the existing trees over and in between them put in standard brick pavers for a new bus stop. Internship with UGA Facilities Management Division

MARY ROSS WATERFRONT PARK The park is located on East River in beautiful historic downtown Brunswick. Unfortunately, was not being used to its full potential and is lacking in many areas. This design revives the site through its ability to allow pedestrians to connect with one another. Pedestrian connectivity is addressed by creating mixed use development, recreational waterfront access, the continued hosting of the farmers market, children’s playscapes, festival/event space, observation platforms, and designated areas for daily programmed activities. Overall, this design aspires to restore the need and use of Mary Ross Waterfront Park for the community of Brunswick, Georgia.

PLAY STRUCTURE
BIRD WATCHING
The colorful central feature is a Red Snapper custom play scripture that invites children to climb onto its dorsal fin or scamper inside its wide open mouth. The Red Snapper was chosen because it is a vibrant colored fish found in the area. In addition to the playground features, there a multiple spaces in the park area for parents to sit and relax while watching their kids play, either near a specific feature or in the central seating area.
Bird watching is quickly becoming one of America’s most popular hobbies. Whether it is the health benefits to people or the increased care for bird this hobby certainly creates positive paybacks to all involved.
07
SPLASH PAD Splash pads offer play environments that encourage interaction. The versatility of splash pads with their multiple spray zones appeal to all age groups. Splash pads offer accessibility for all types of physical abilities. The pads have very little standing water, offering a safe environment in which children play without the risk of drowning.

BROOKS MALL EXTENSION The overall design harmonizes the site into an experience that fosters a meaningful relationship between the users and the environment. We accomplished this by harnessing the existing topography, mature vegetation, numerous view sheds, and innovative technology creating a memorable and engaging interaction for all patrons. Collaborative design with Braden Meadows, Rory Granos, Jonathan Diaddigo, and Cole Allison

For this project, our team used traditional hand graphics as well as advanced computer graphics. Using a SketchUp model built from an AutoCAD base, we were able to construct a 3D model in Lumion that is realistic in both scale and texture. Lumion allowed us to let our clients use Google Cardboard Glasses and immerse themselves in our design.

My individual objective was to redesign the entrance to the Science Library and Soule Hall that was both easily accessible and aesthetically pleasing. The entrance to the Science Library incorporates a water feature that creates a sense of reflection when entering in and out. The curvilinear tree canopy guiding you to Soule Hall naturally emulates the tensile fabric structures helping unify the space.

THE BEACH HOUSE For this project I was tasked with creating a Hawaii beach house in Lumion that was to later be brought into Photoshop, so that the rendering doesn’t look like a generic Lumion rendering. Through the process of overlaying textures, adding vignettes, adjusting saturations, and adding brush textures you can feel the warmth of the beach. The addition of people and animals also creates an inviting feel to viewers. The people allow viewers to relate and better associate to the site. Then finally, the overall grunge feel creates an almost photograph feel that hopefully sparks memories of the beach to all viewers.
