Weather Report was one of the most creative and influential jazz-fusion bands of the 70s and 80s. Using Tchaikovsky's stirring score and a moving adaptation of the original choreography, Swan Lake tells the story of a young man who falls in love with Odette, cursed and destined to spend her life as a swan, unless true love can release her from the spell of the evil Von Rothbart. Using a mix of professional dancers and students Ballet West has developed a significant reputation in producing high quality, classical ballet with loyal audiences in venues throughout Scotland.

Student Events EDIT: A NIGHT FOR STUDENTS Your way – your night. After a successful debut EDIT returns for the new semester. Described as 'the best venue in Stirling' by performing band Haivercraft at the debut event, this night will feature live bands and acoustic acts, plus drink promos at the bar.

Hired Events SAFE DRIVE STAY ALIVE Young inexperienced motorists are at the highest risk of serious road accidents. Safe Drive Stay Alive is a show aimed at steering young people away from taking risks behind the wheel, including accounts from real-life victims as well as staff from the emergency services and NHS.

THINK DANCING Active Stirling presents an evening of dance performed by schools from throughout Stirling. This is an Active Schools programme, delivered by volunteers who are supported by a dance specialist to create their own dances.

FORTH VALLEY SCHOOLS DANCE COMPETITION 2012 This annual dance competition will feature the works of more than 500 school pupils from across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannan and provides young people with the opportunity to choreograph routines, rehearse as a team and showcase the results in performances on the night. Performances on 1 March feature junior dancers (S1-S3), whereas senior dancers (S4-S6) will take to the stage on 2 March.

Bridge of Allan Operatic Society presents

THE SOUND OF MUSIC This final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein is one of the worldʼs most beloved musicals. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captainʼs immediate service in their navy. The familyʼs narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre.
