Letter From The
E D I TO R
Color makes or breaks a garment for myself and fellow consumers. If the pair of sunglasses, purse, or garment isn’t the right tint or saturation, its not going to induce a credit card swipe. That’s why many brands and retailers tend to sell more black, white, and neutrals. Its safe. Its easy. It matches with anything. But color shouldn’t be tricky or difficult. Personally, my army green utility jacket or blue jeans are the most color that makes the cut. But color is exciting and individualistic. Its mood altering and visually stimulating. Consumers should be encouraged by retailers to mix and match colors effortlessly. Nue Nue, Pasty Pastry, Underneath the Crown, and Neon Supremacy are a take on colors that are wearable and fashion foraward. This trend report is all about covering up for a brutal winter in a mediocre climate. Global warming is making the winters feel like spring. In order to feel that coziness that one usually associates with this time of year, layering with long sleeves, sweaters, and fur is trending. But these layers aren’t thermal or thick like they used to be. Now thinner fabrics will be used for these silhouettes. Grazie -

Nue Nue Lets be honest, there isn’t anything new about neutrals except this title I created. But thats okay because they go with everything. They mix and match and blend with the natural colors of the Earth that we trash. This color story is about appreciating the elements and their properties.

Pasty Pastry By clashing desaturated hues and popping pastels, these colors are no longer for children. Cutsie pinks and blues are now accents deemed too youthful for the serious women taking over the world. So dusty blues and corals are taking over. Imagine the colors of a cute vintage bakery, still young but also mature. Super quirky, this color story is about being different. The perfect combination of sexy and cute. (;

Underneath the Royalty is extradited for its darkness. Drama and war are at stake. Basic winter color aren’t suitable for the royals anymore. Maroon, army green, and black are updated with hints of emerald and dark sapphire so that the royals stand out in a crowd of peasants and show their wealth. But their indecency will be revealed soon enough. This palate is rich in jewel tones but extremely dangerous.
