PRIMATE EXHIBIT Spring 2018 Professor: Barbara Sestak Oregon Zoo Portland, OR
Rather than “observing into� this exhibit, the goal with this design was to create an immersive experience where visitors can feel as if they are truly within the habitat of the animals. I wanted to create spaces which allow visitors to observe a variety of activities by the primates at varying heights, and indoor and outdoor spaces, while also allowing for both private and public interaction between primate and zookeeper.
Throughout the interior spaces are educational and interactive spaces for visitors to further understand and deeper analyze what they just witnessed. The building facade implements a draining solution regarding stormwater management and engages with the topography/landscape.

SENIOR HOUSING Winter 2019 Professor: Lisa Young Vancouver Waterfront Vancouver, WA
Improving the wellbeing of aging seniors through the implementation of sensory architectural solutions which cater to their functional ability to hear, see, and move, independently without risk. While the first three stories are available for public use, each floor focuses on engaging with a specific sense, while each floor intertwine and engage with one another so as occupants continue through the building they experience a full sensory experience.
By engaging with multiple senses, senior citizens will improve their wellbeing and memory, as well as their confidence which will allow them to participate in more activities with the community at this stage in their lives.

FUELING STATION Fall 2017 Professor: Maria Simon Hwy 30 + Forest Park Linnton Neighborhood Portland, OR
A fueling station and outdoors recreational co-op, with a bridge connecting into Forest Park hiking trails. Providing accessible walking routes, place of rest, and safe parking for the curious PNW wanderer.
Linnton, OR has the largest petroleum storage site in the state of Oregon, yet it is also nestled right next to one of the country’s largest urban forest reserves, Forest Park.
You can stop and park for a hike in Forest Park, or you can fuel your tank while you renting outdoor gear and then head to the river, the coast, or up to Mount St. Helens.
Through incorporating an outdoors shop with the fueling station, the program encourages users to reduce their gas consumption by providing the tools to conveniently access nature.

LANDSCAPE + URBAN PLANNING Fall 2018 Professors: PLACE - Zeljka Carol Kekez, Mauricio Villarreal, Dylan Morgan Cully Neighborhood Portland, OR
Located in NE Portland, the Cully neighborhood is an underserved and impoverished community. This neighborhood has some of the the lowest rated schools in the state, high crime rate, unsafe walking conditions, and is also considered a food desert. Yet the sense of community in the neighborhood is flourishing.
This project aims to reclaim the streets for pedestrian activity. A three-block urban park located at the center of the Cully neighborhood. Not only providing safe walking spaces, but allowing for a social and recreational hub for residents of all ages and abilities. Establishing the “heart� of Cully.
