Distribution of Median House Prices Median houses prices over 0.7 million (2013). Averaging $80,000 for neuropreservation and $200,000 for whole body preservation, populace from over 50 Perth suburbs could readily finance cryopreservation today.

Considering limitations of space, a high demand for cryopreservation will consequencly increase the cost. This will result in cryogenic patients from Perth’s highest earning suburbs. Located along a primary transport route, Stirling Highway, these 5 suburbs are ideal for the site’s Neuroscience Centre.

Order of Criteria Selection

To establish a number of people eligible for cryopreservation, data from Perth’s 5 top earning suburbs was compiled. Population and predicted death rates for each suburb provided a baseline. Considering ethics of cryogenics often contradicts religious beliefs, populace with spiritual beliefs were eliminated from the data.

Building Entry

Site is located within Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre along Winthrop Avenue. Primary traffic for the Neurocentre comes from Hospital Avenue, the main public road running through the hospital, and down Hampton Road from UWA. Secondary traffic comes from the suburbial streets surrounding the site.

Master Plan indicates a new light rail through the site along with exsisting bus routes. Being located on the outer edge of the site, the Neurocentre will be approached via walking.

Green space in centre of site doubles as building entrance. Draws traffic from three directions to converge in the middle, away from perimeter, from which they can then enter the Neuroscience Centre.
