TYPEWRITER BUILDING Industrial & Chic Residential Space [Sketch-up + Adobe]
This remodel of a historic 1900’s building in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska transforms a former Typewriter building into a rentable residential space. Nearing about 3,000 sq. ft. the renovated floor plan includes an open concept targeting young couples with combining an industrial and chic design. Utilizing existing architectural elements to highlight the unique aspects of the original building while applying updated features allows for a complete transformation of the space. This six week project provides a residential space for those visiting the area.

By reconfiguring the existing layout, what used to be a one bed, one bath apartment is now two bed, and two and a half bath. Complete with a courtyard leading to the entry, a wine cellar, full kitchen, exposed existing brick, and lofted living space.

NEXT HEALTHCARE FACILITY Evidence Based Design Outpatient Care [Revit + Adobe]
Implementing an innovative healthcare facility in the fourth floor of an existing building in Seattle, Washington consuming about 12,000 sq. ft. EvidenceBased Design influenced a large portion of this design in addition to taking inspiration from the landscapes throughout the state of Washington. Combining these two elements along with wayfinding techniques, this outpatient care facility aims to reduce patient anxiety.

This innovative healthcare facility consists of two separate entrances that lead to the main reception and the spa reception. Configured within the curves of this design are patient rooms, acupuncture and massage rooms, conference rooms, staff office and lounge, work cafe, and other private office spaces.

EXPANDING POP BRIXTON London Study Abroad Conceptual Project [Rhino + Revit + Adobe]
Pop Brixton is a market consisting of reused shipping containers located in London, UK. including vendors for food, drinks, and retail along with startup companies. This project targets urban nomads, people who work in unique places without a dedicated desk or office but rely on electronics and wifi. Expanding Pop Brixton targets the startup companies by providing them with a dedicated space elevated above the everyday tourists. This conceptual project consisted of five weeks of in field research and three weeks of design.

The design of this project took a more architectural approach in creating a large mass that could be seen from the original entrance of Pop Brixton. Utilizing geometric shapes to contrast existing shipping containers draws the attention of visitors as they enter the space. Geometric panels come in three different varieties, transparent, illuminated, and opaque. Three different colors of opaque panels differentiate the use of each space, dedicated for meeting, lounge, and a maker space. Floor Plan

DESIGN MUSEUM ANALYSIS London Study Abroad Sketching Analysis [Sketching + Shading + Watercolor]
As a part of the curriculum in London, we were to conduct an analysis through sketching techniques learned throughout the semester. The Design Museum is located in the Kensington Borough of London and was remodeled in 2016 by John Pawson. The series of sketches show spatial qualities and details of the six story museum. Combining techniques of ink, graphite, shading with tone, and watercolor to produce the following analysis.
