PIZZO o PIXELS? Il progetto DOTS si ispira al retino fotografico in bianco e nero. Il chiaroscuro di un immagine viene reso attraverso punti di diametri diversi la cui minore o maggiore dimensione e densità determina le parti più chiare o più scure dell’immagine. L’immagine composta dai punti è instabile, accennata, indefinita, i punti compongono l’immagine aggregandosi come pixel creando contorni e forme, dando profondità e sfumature. I punti scompongono l’immagine rincorrendosi, degradando fino a scomparire. Forme ed immagini si miscelano sostituendosi le une con le altre o sfumando nel nulla. The DOTS project is inspired by the photographic black and white halftone. The light and dark of an image is made through points of different diameters. The greater or lesser size and density of the points determines the lighter or darker parts of the image. The image formed by the points is unstable, hinted, indefinite, points make up the image by joining as pixels, creating contours and shapes, giving depth and nuances. The points break down the image chasing, degrading until they disappear. Shapes and images are mixed replacing with each other or vanish into thin air.

DOT’S project is inspired by photographic small net in black and white. The chiaroscuro effect (light and shade) of an image is made through points of different diameters which smaller or larger size and density determine the parts of the image lighter or darker. The image formed by points is changeable, sketched, indefinite, the points make up the image aggregating like pixels creating outlines and shapes giving depth and shades. The points break up the image degrading until it disappears. Forms and images are mixed each other replacing or fading into nothingness. Materials: Smooth lava stone (PLL) and industrial (CI) Glaze: Milky white Size industrial cotto in mm: 100x100, 150x150, 200x200 Size lava stone in mm: 100x100, 150x150, 200x200 + customized size for tops and tables etc.
