There is so much that keeps the Region in the limelight: its wide-ranging offer, from the mountains to the sea, from culture to cuisine, the events and traditions that make it a unique and safe destination, with a mild climate all year round, and just a few hours away from major European cities.

It is due to all this plus the art of hospitality that comes naturally to residents that captivates visitors, combined with the fact that the tourism industry on the Island is over 200 years old, that the archipelago continues to be on the map of world preferences, having achieved in 2022 the best year ever in terms of results: about 2 million guests and 9.6 million overnight stays that resulted in 528.8 million euros in total revenues.

This is only possible thanks to all the professionals in the sector and to a Region that has always stood out in the art of hospitality that continuously deserves, not only awards, but above all the recognition of those who visit us, Madeira Tourism continues to work in a sustained manner. The goal is that visitors will always want to come back and experience Madeira as a whole.
