With increases in global production and consumption of plastics, and with less than 20% of plastics recycled globally, plastic waste is increasing. While efforts have been undertaken lately, the COVID-19 crisis has reshuffled businesses’ priorities and slowed down progress on plastic reduction. At Mademoiselle Desserts, we did not let COVID-19 interrupt our long-term plans for sustainability. We've continued focusing on reducing our use of plastics wherever this is feasible, or whenever a robust replacement is readily available. We are achieving this by removing or reducing the grade/type of plastic within our supply chain, by working with our suppliers and by identifying and seizing every single opportunity for us to do things differently.
