In order to be eligible for Nova Scotia PNP migration, the candidates must be qualified in 6 selection factors and score at least 67 out of 100 points. The points are calculated based on education, language ability, work experience, age, adaptability factors, and whether the candidate has an arranged job offer from a Nova Scotiabased employer.

F A C T O R 1 : E D U C A T I O N

An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is used to verify a foreign degree, diploma, certificate (or other proof of credentials). This should be valid and equal to a completed credential in Canada. Here based on your education level you will score the points from 25-5 points. If you have Less than secondary school education then you are ineligible to apply.

F A C T O R 2 : A B I L I T Y I N E N G L I S H O R F R E N C H

Candidates can score up to 28 points for their language skills in English and French. They will be given points based on abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Language test must come from either of the following testing agencies: For English, you have IELTS: International English Language Testing System (General Training test only) For French, you have TEF: Test d’évaluation de français (not a compulsory) Applicants should meet the minimum level of CLB 7 (for their first official language in all four language areas).

F A C T O R 3 : W O R K E X P E R I E N C E

The Candidate's international work experience should be at least one year (1,560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time. It should be Paid work volunteer work and unpaid internships do not count. The education and occupation should be matching Here you can score a maximum of 15 points. Your points increases if you have more work experience.

F A C T O R 4 : A G E

Applicants earn points based on their age on the day that their application is received by the NSOI. If your age is below 18 or above 46 then you are ineligible for migrating. You can earn a maximum of 12 points if your age is between 18 to 35 years. Your points decrease as your age increases.

F A C T O R 5 : A R R A N G E D E M P L O Y M E N T I N N O V A S C O T I A

Candidates will earn points if they have a valid job offer of permanent employment from a Nova Scotia employer and the job must be arranged before they apply to come to Nova Scotia as a federal skilled worker. A valid offer of employment must be for permanent, full-time work in Nova Scotia and with NOC category of 0, A, or B. Here you can earn an extra 10 points for holding an arranged employment.

F A C T O R 6 : A D A P T A B I L I T Y

If Candidates have an accompanying spouse or common-law partner he/she earn points on their behalf as well. A maximum of 10 points can be scored under this factor, regardless of how many criteria a candidate qualifies for.
